Editorial Standards & Spoiler Policy

How we source stories, label opinions, handle spoilers, correct mistakes and stay independent.

Fun coverage still needs rules. These are the standards NewsTVseries follows so that you can trust what you read, enjoy it, and never have a twist ruined by accident. As a new, independent publication in its launch edition, we are writing these standards down from day one.

Sourcing

We report what we can verify. Announcements, release dates and renewals should be backed by an official statement or a reliable, named source. Tips and rumors are checked before publication, and if something cannot be confirmed, we either hold the story or clearly describe it as unconfirmed. We do not invent statistics, viewership figures or quotes. In the launch edition, every show, network, person and quote is fictional and marked "Illustrative / Launch edition".

Labelling opinion

Reviews, rankings and hot takes are opinion, and we label them that way. Our binge scores and buzz meters are our editors' opinions, a quick way to share how excited we are. They are not measurements of audience size, ratings or popularity, and they are not based on surveys or data.

Spoiler labels and waiting periods

  • Any story that reveals major plot points is marked as containing spoilers and opens with a spoiler warning paragraph.
  • Headlines, previews and social snippets stay spoiler-light, even after the waiting period.
  • For a new episode, we generally wait at least 24 hours after release before publishing a detailed spoiler breakdown on the front page.
  • For season finales and full-season drops, we wait longer, typically about a week, before putting major reveals in headlines or images.

Waiting periods are guidelines, and we use judgment for shows released in different regions at different times.

Corrections

When we make a mistake, we fix it and say so. Corrected stories carry a short note explaining what changed. Minor typo fixes may not get a note, but changes to facts always do. To report an error, email [email protected].

Independence from networks

NewsTVseries is not owned by, or affiliated with, any network or streaming service. We do not accept payment for coverage, positive reviews or higher binge scores. If we ever receive screeners, review access or travel support in the future, we will disclose it in the relevant story. Any future advertising or sponsorship will be clearly labelled and kept separate from editorial decisions.

Questions about these standards are welcome at [email protected].
