Editorial Masthead

Meet the bylines of the launch edition and the roles behind them.

Every magazine needs a masthead, and ours comes with a twist worth explaining up front. NewsTVseries is a new, independent publication, and this is our launch edition. The bylines you see on launch-edition stories are pen names for the founding editorial voice. They are not separate staff members, and they describe roles and beats rather than individual people.

Why pen names?

We wanted readers to be able to tell, at a glance, what kind of story they are reading. A renewal roundup should feel different from an emotional finale recap, and a binge guide should feel different from a craft interview. Giving each beat its own byline makes the magazine easier to navigate and gives every section a consistent personality. As the magazine grows, these roles may be filled by named contributors, and we will update this page when that happens.

The launch-edition bylines

Elena Thorne, Chief Drama Editor

The Elena Thorne byline covers prestige drama, big ensemble series and the shows everyone argues about on Monday morning. Expect sharp analysis, strong opinions clearly labelled as opinions, and a soft spot for slow-burn character arcs.

Marcus Vale, Renewals Editor

Marcus Vale is the byline for renewals, cancellations, premiere dates and release calendars. This beat is about clarity: what has been announced, what has not, and what is still only speculation.

Priya Holloway, Recaps & Theories

Priya Holloway handles episode recaps, spoiler breakdowns and fan theories. These stories always carry spoiler labels, and theories are always presented as theories, never as leaks or insider knowledge.

Jonah Reyes, Streaming & Guides

Jonah Reyes is the byline for binge guides, watch-order explainers and "where do I start" features. The goal is simple: help you spend your viewing time on shows you will love.

Aiko Brandt, Interviews & Craft

Aiko Brandt covers interviews and behind-the-scenes craft, from writing rooms to costume design and score. In the launch edition, interview subjects and their quotes are fictional and clearly marked as illustrative.

A note on honesty

We would rather tell you how the magazine works than pretend to be bigger than we are. We do not make claims about staff size, and every launch-edition story is labelled illustrative.
