Which, of course, doubles as a new reason to boo him. Meet ‘Mr. Steal Yo Finish’.
If you’re looking for reasons to dislike WWE United States champion Logan Paul, you don’t have to look far. Even if you’re not predisposed to hate on YouTube influencer-types, the elder Paul brother also comes along with lawsuits, allegations of running scams, and other controversies from his past.
He’s also really good at playing a pro wrestling heel, which we’re reminded of every time he shows up on SmackDown or a premium live event. It’s amazing the guy ever considered playing a babyface.
This weekend, Paul will be wrestling in his hometown of Cleveland at SummerSlam. The fact he’s defending his title against a huge fan favorite in LA Knight probably ensures that the champ won’t be cheered. But just to be sure, he gave himself a new nickname — Mr. Steal Yo Finish — and released a video of himself using moves other people made famous to explain it.
Repurposing Trey Songz’s “Bottoms Up” (in which Songz dubbed himself “Mr. Steal Yo Girl”) makes the whole thing even easier to hate…
Also bothersome? A lot of these aren’t even finishing moves!
It’s annoying how much fun it is to boo this man.
