While Jake Paul has received criticism for his choice of opponents, he claims MMA fighters make for a much tougher test in the squared circle than boxers.

Jake Paul explains why he thinks boxing MMA fighters is such a tough task

Last Saturday, in front of a packed house at the Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida, USA, Jake Paul secured another crushing victory.

With several high-level wins inside the BKFC ring, on paper, Mike Perry, presented the toughest test the YouTuber had faced since Tommy Fury.


However, when the first bell chimed, the UFC veteran quickly discovered he was simply too small and lacked the requisite boxing skill necessary to pose a genuine threat.

Exhibiting the heart of a lion, the warrior battled through to the sixth round, where he ultimately fell foul to the polarizing social media star’s power.

“Their punches are not uniform, and it’s just like wild crazy things. I knocked two boxers out in the first round of my last two fights, so, I think MMA fighters are more difficult to find the rhythm of and pick apart.”

With this in mind, the Cleveland native has continued to call out Conor McGregor, which has rendered one MMA icon furious.

After watching Perry succumb to his rival’s thunderous blows, ‘The Notorious’ made the decision to fire the brawler from BKFC.

This prompted Paul to take to Twitter and post: 1) Mike Perry is a f****** beast and has a lot more balls than that little leprechaun.

“2) Where all those MMA experts at that said Mike Perry was going to end me?”

The tweet enraged Michael Bisping, who believes the 27-year-old should show more respect to one of the greatest fighters of all time.

In the aftermath of the fight, Paul received enormous backlash for his decision to go head-to-head with another MMA fighter. However, hitting back at the critics, he’s claimed that those who typically operate inside the cage present a unique style that’s incredibly hard to deal with.

In an interview on Impaulsive, he asserted: “Honestly, it’s easier to fight boxers because they are more rigid and in a pattern. It’s more predictable. The MMA fighters are stronger than boxers, because they have that grip strength in their forearms—the grappling strength—they’re like bears.
