Rose finished Cortez’s victories streak in a main event for UFC history
The UFC Fight Night in Denver on July 13 left many impressive moments. Rose Namajuanas and Tracy Cortez carried the weight of last night’s main event, and they did as expected. Rose started dominating Tracy in the first three rounds, where ‘Thug Rose’ gave a masterclass of what a mixed martial arts artist looks like. In the end Namajunas won by unanimous decision (49-46, 49-46, 48-47) to continue climbing up in the women’s flyweight division.
One of the most viral moments if the night came when Namajunas face-punched Cortez with so much power that you could see Cortez’s fake eyelashes flying off her face. The video in slow motion did no take long to go viral around the social media platform ‘X’.
