Paul expressed his interest in a variety of combat sports: “The idea of fighting Perry in MMA or bare-knuckle boxing is really appealing. Let’s see what unfolds on July 20th – I’m ready for it.

“I’m keen on having an MMA fight, and Perry seems like a suitable opponent for both MMA and bare-knuckle boxing. While I haven’t deeply considered it, I’m up for it. People don’t realize I’m a bit of a wild card.

“I thrive on brawling and love the sport; I’m willing to take risks like bare-knuckle boxing.”

Paul had been gearing up to fight Mike Tyson, but the 57-year-old boxing icon had to pull out due to an ulcer flare-up during a flight.

This highly anticipated match, criticized for the significant age difference, has been rescheduled for November 15.

In the interim, Paul will face Mike Perry, a leading figure in the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC), in a keep-busy bout in Florida.

Perry, 32, transitioned from the UFC in 2021, where he held a 14-8 MMA record, to BKFC. He has since become a prominent figure in the organization, achieving five straight wins.

Despite losing his professional boxing debut in 2015, Perry has embraced his identity as the “King of Violence” and will be entering the boxing ring for only the second time.

Heated Exchanges and Predictions

Paul, 27, boasts a 9-1 record in boxing, with his sole defeat at the hands of Tommy Fury, Tyson Fury’s brother, in March 2023.

Perry, known for his outspoken nature, did not hold back in his critique of Paul: “You’ve been fighting subpar opponents and think you can take on a real fighter like me? You’re delusional.

“Hit me in the face, and I’ll smile and retaliate even harder. Paul has deceived the world into thinking he’s exceptional. I’ve been grinding for years, and I’m ready to show what a true fighter is.”

Paul, unfazed, responded with confidence: “Save that clip for when I beat him and then splice it with the footage of me knocking him out.”
