There is clearly no respect there

Usyk's coach disparages Jake Paul: I'd have to fight him with one hand behind my back
Jake Paul may be one of the biggest names in boxing right now but it is clearly down to his fame rather than what he has shown in the ring.

He has a lot of fights ahead of him and that is something that can change in the future, but someone like Oleksandr Usyk is in a different league to Jake Paul in a sporting sense.

Oleksandr Usyk vacates IBF heavyweight title, paving way for Anthony Joshua and Daniel Dubois

That is something that Usky‘s coach is incredibly aware of, to the point where he thinks that Usyk would need to be seriously handicapped if the pair were to come up against one another.

Sergey Lapin told Betway on YouTube: “He’s proven he’s the best of this generation and, once he’s retired Tyson Fury, he will consider his options.

“Maybe that’s dropping down in weight again, or maybe there’s a wildcard option on the table for him; be it in the boxing ring, the MMA cage or even Conor McGregor‘s Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship.

“Can you imagine Usyk and Jon Jones fighting to prove they’re the baddest man on the planet? Or maybe it’s a third fight with Anthony Joshua in the MMA cage?

“Maybe it’s Jake Paul at cruiserweight, although Usyk would need to fight him with one hand behind his back though to make it fair.”

There may not even be the opportunity given Usyk could be opening up to the world of bare-knuckle fighting.

A change of discipline for Usyk?

With a potential lack of options to fight, the suggestion is that Usyk could change discipline.

Lapin wrote on Instagram: “Hey bro, Conor McGregor!

“First Oleksandr Usyk has to retire Tyson Fury, but our team is ready to make something great together with the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship. Let’s talk.”

McGregor commented on a post featuring Lapin‘s quotes, writing: “USYK IN BARE KNUCKLE!”

And even Usyk gave it the green light on his Instagram story as he said: “Let’s talk.”
