It has been rescheduled and many believe that the former world champion will still win despite his health situations
The fight between former world champion Mike Tyson and YouTuber Jake Paul has been rescheduled for next November 15, the fight promoter, Most Value Promotions, reported in a press release a few weeks ago.
Last week, the company announced that due to an ulcer suffered by Tyson, considered one of the best boxers in heavyweight history, the fight could no longer take place on its original date, which was July 20.
Doctors recommended ‘Iron Mike’ not to do heavy physical training for a few weeks while he recovered from the problem with the ulcer. “I will resume training shortly. I am grateful to the medical staff who treated me. What will not change is the result of the fight, Jake Paul will be knocked out,” Tyson said in the statement.
That feeling is one also shared by a UFC star that backs up the boxing legend, his experience and the way he believes he can perform against an athlete that has come along ways but still has not boxed all his life.
Mike Tyson has the support of many legendary sports figures
While many support Mike Tyson, Jake Paul is the favorite because of his age and stamina, as he has been kept himself active lately. He is 27 years old, and the boxing legend will be 58 just before the fight.
However former UFC champion and PFL ambassador Randy Couture believes he has no chance in a fully professional fight against Tyson. The former UFC light-heavyweight and heavyweight champion believes that the only way Paul can survive is if stipulations are different than the considered normal ones they have now.
“Everything I’ve seen, I don’t see any way that Jake Paul stands up to Mike Tyson,” Couture told Bloody Elbow in an exclusive chat ahead of the PFL’s regular season shows in Salt Lake City and Sioux Falls over the next two weeks.
Things might change in the upcoming months but many support the idea that Mike Tyson still has one more fight in him even against a better athlete than him, at least today.
