Jake Paul has revealed the reason he won’t be copying Mike Tyson‘s ban on sex ahead of the pair’s fight in July.
In an interview with Forbes Life last month, Tyson said it had been six weeks since he’d had sex or smoked weed.
However, Paul – who is dating Dutch speedskater Jutta Leerdam – won’t be following the same routine after it apparently gave him problems in the buildup to his fight vs. Tommy Fury last year.
‘If I didn’t have sex for like… if I restrain myself for like two weeks I start having wet dreams because my body’s like, ‘Get this out!’ he said candidly on his BS w/ Jake Paul podcast.
‘It’s not weird, it just means that I’m normal.’
Following his split decision loss to Fury in February 2023, Paul explained that he ‘f***ed himself over’ by not having sex before the fight.
I don’t actually even remember the dream. I literally woke up in a panic, like, ‘f***, f***, f***, f*** I was like, ‘Oh my god,’ he said on his brother Logan’s Impaulsive podcast.
‘You have two weeks of testosterone built up and so the reason a wet dream happens is because your body needs to release that energy, it knows in your mind, ‘This is not good’. I f***ed myself.
‘But yeah it makes your legs weak. For the viewers, that’s why it’s bad, it makes your legs weak.
Paul and Leerdam celebrated their one-year anniversary in April.
And the 27-year-old is expecting Tyson to be ‘really angry and on edge’ due to his abstinence routine.
‘Wow, he’s going to be like a caged animal just p****d the f*** off,’ Paul said on his podcast.
Tyson has not fought in a sanctioned fight since 2005, and the demand to see his matchup with Paul is high.
