The Stockton native is suing Fanmio for $9 million

Diaz vs. Masvidal in September 2023
Nate Diaz has just announced that he will sue the company Fanmio, organizer of his fight with Jorge Masvidal, for a total of 9 million dollars since the agreement for the same was closed at 10 million, one to be paid before the fight (which they did) and the rest after the fight (which Nate is still waiting for).
Diaz, who fought Masvidal on July 6, claims that Solomon Engel, CEO of Fanmio, is trying to file for bankruptcy so he doesn’t have to pay him the amount owed, and this is where Jake Paul comes into the equation.

The YouTuber turned boxer, Jake Paul, has not missed the opportunity to rub Diaz‘s nose in his money and, after beating him in the fight of August 5, 2023 at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas, has offered him almost double what he is owed for a new fight, this time in MMA, under PFL rules. He reminded him in a recent tweet:

“Guess that $15 million from PFL needs to be taken a little more seriously you dummy,” he wrote. “Yesterday’s price is not today’s price. Oh and Masvidal you broke and can’t sell sh*t.”

n the press release Diaz shared about the lawsuit, he states that: “After a series of calls to him, Engel responded by saying that if he paid Diaz what he owed he would go bankrupt and divorce his wife due to the constant losses he is subjected to.” Nate’s lawsuit is twofold in that, not only does it collect the breach of contract but also sues him for felony fraud.

The fight with Masvidal was only Diaz’s second professional fight as a boxer. He came from MMA, where after 34 fights he had a record of 21 wins and 13 losses (ten of them by referee decision). For his part, Paul has 10 fights as a professional with 9 wins and only one loss; waiting for what is perhaps the date that will give him the most money, the fight against Mike Tyson, announced for November 15, 2024 at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington (Texas).
