Paul takes on Mike Perry this weekend

Jake Paul and Conor McGregor

Even though Jake Paul is busy preparing for his fight with Mike Perry this weekend, he’s also having to fend off Conor McGregor.

The former YouTuber will be taking on the bare-knuckle boxer in Florida after his fight with Mike Tyson was postponed due to the Iron Mike suffering an ulcer flare-up in the lead-up to the fight.

McGregor, who is now a co-owner of BKFC, backed Perry to take care of Paul when the two step into the ring.

“Look at what has happened to Michael Perry, one of our big stars here,” said McGregor at a BKFC press conference. “The King of Violence he titles himself and he’s had such a rise in the sport and now he’s up against a little dweeb of a thing in a fight this weekend.

“We’re all rooting for him. this is the real thing.”

McGregor continues to hit out at Paul

McGregor’s comments come after he shared his support for Perry on social media, writing: “Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship in the house!”

He also took aim at PFL, the rival MMA promotion that Paul has invested in.

“Make no mistake about it, this is a viable option and in my opinion it’s the only option,” he commented.

“I don’t want to see, nor do I give a f***, about UFC fighters going to PFL or another promotion. You need to break it up, you need to mix it up and come and try something new to try and break into that next level of superstardom, of respect, of money and of power. We have all that at BKFC.

“BKFC is the No.1 in the space by a mile. We are different, we are not like anyone else in the space. Although the UFC is at it’s peak and the mega-company it is and the No.1 in its category, we are the No.1 in our category.

“It’s apples and oranges; we lend ourselves well to each other and that’s what I really like about it. For me BKFC right now is No.1 in the space and there is no-one close to it.”
