Walker Scobell may not make his MCU debut so soon.

The upcoming Deadpool & Wolverine seems to be one of the most star-studded MCU features ever. The Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman starrer is rumored to be filled with numerous Marvel cameos. Walker Scobell, who recently impressed audiences with his Percy Jackson and the Olympians series was also rumored to appear in the film as Kidpool.

Soon after Walker Scobell starred alongside Ryan Reynolds in The Adam Project, the fans expected him to play Kidpool. However, Scobell’s latest statement suggests we may not see him as a variant of the Merc with a mouth in Deadpool & Wolverine.
What do we know about Ryan Reynolds’ rumored reunion with Walker Scobell?

Deadpool & Wolverine is slated to rely heavily on the Multiversal elements. The upcoming and only 2024 MCU release is reported to feature many variants of the Ryan Reynolds antihero. The rumors about Walker Scobell‘s appearance as Kidpool rose when he played the young version of Reynolds in 2022’s Netflix film The Adam Project.
Walker Scobell’s appreciated performance in the Disney+ series Percy Jackson and the Olympians also suggested that he would perfectly essay the role. Previously, when the 15-year-old actor was asked about his Deadpool 3 appearance by Josh Wilding, he could not give a concrete update- “I’m hoping to reunite someday, but I don’t know.”
But now, according to the latest report by scooper @Agents of Fandom, the actor denied his reunion with Reynolds and director Shawn Levy in the forthcoming Deadpool threequel.

While it will be highly disappointing if we miss the opportunity of getting Walker Scobell as Kidpool, it must not be forgotten that the superhero actors are excellent at pulling an Andrew Garfield. It will be interesting to see if Scobell appears as Kidpool or if the MCU is saving him for an even better role in the future.
Deadpool & Wolverine will be filled with surprises

Deadpool & Wolverine has been filled with surprises since the first day of announcement when Hugh Jackman‘s involvement was confirmed by Reynolds. Following that, various confirmed and reported rumors suggested the involvement of a wide variety of stars in the film. Dopinder actor Karan Soni has also stated to Variety that there “are a lot of surprises” in the Deadpool threequel-
Let’s just say a lot of people traveled to London.
Given that Ryan Reynolds is friends with many actors in the industry, it may be a possibility that we can experience an insane crossover event even before Avengers: Secret Wars. The rumor mill has suggested the appearance of forgotten Marvel actors like Jennifer Garner’s Elektra and has also added the possibilities of actors like Henry Cavill and Daniel Radcliffe.
The promo materials released have also confirmed the appearance of several characters from Fox’s X-Men universe. According to Shawn Levy’s statement to Total Film, the R-rated MCU flick will be set 6 years after the events of Deadpool 2. Now it will be interesting to watch how much of the rumors come to fruition. It cannot be denied that the MCU has earlier failed to fulfill the promised hype with Doctor Strange 2. Hopefully, Deadpool & Wolverine will not repeat such a situation.
