What a weird idea
Almost every Harry Potter fan I’ve spoken to has something to say about Harry Potter And The Cursed Child, a bonus story in the series that introduces a lot of bizarre additions to the canon.
While everyone’s entitled to their opinions, I generally hear bad things about the story, though I’m told the stage play is of a high quality so it’s probably worth seeing if you’re a fan.
Makes you wonder if they’ll explore this storyline towards the end of the upcoming Harry Potter reboot series…
Out of everything the final chapter introduces though, the strangest is the revelation that Voldemort has a secret child, born from Bellatrix who he apparently had a fling with; seems like Nagini wasn’t the only snake hanging around his robes…
It’s an important plot point and raises many questions, but for the most part, it’s something fans really want to forget.
“The whole Voldemort having a kid thing honestly doesn’t make any sense … TL;DR I’m not a fan of the play,” read a post by fech1999 on the Harry Potter subreddit.
They continued, “Dumbledore makes it pretty clear that old Voldy didn’t care about his followers in the slightest. They were merely tools for him to carry out his war. Yet, we’re supposed to accept the fact that he at some point decided to enter a ‘deeper’ relationship with Bellatrix?”
Others shared their disdain, with one saying, “Honestly I’m sorry but the whole play is basically trash fan fiction and I hated every moment of it.”
Another added, “I completely agree. I also got the impression from the books that Voldemort was asexual. He obviously didn’t love Bellatrix, but he never showed any indication whatsoever of having lust either.”
It’s a bizarre plot point for sure, but it’s fine because most people agree the Harry Potter series ends with Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows. Anything after that is an optional extra as far as fans are concerned._(2).png)
Despite being a beloved character in the books, one Harry Potter character never made it to the big screen.
However, a recent teaser reveals that he may just be making his on-screen cameo in the upcoming HBO Harry Potter reboot.

I am talking about Peeves, of course.
The mischievous poltergeist that was a key part of the J.K. Rowling book series who never made it to the movies despite originally being cast in Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. Unfortunately, his scenes were cut ahead of the movie’s release.
As a constant presence around Hogwarts, Peeves would make trouble for the students and professors alike by blocking corridors and making up rude songs.
With the HBO reboot series expected to run for multiple seasons, it only makes sense that the showrunners have more time to delve into some omitted parts of the movies and this includes Peeves, it would seem.
This news comes courtesy of Fluid-Bell895 over on r/harrypotter who shared an Instagram screenshot taken from the official Harry Potter account.
The image, which links HBO, shows Hogwarts alongside an official quote from the Harry Potter executive producers Francesca Gardiner and Mark Mylod.
“We’ll get to have some fun with Peeves in the corridors!”
Although a simple statement, fans soon started to feel the hype and took to the Reddit post comments to share their thoughts.
User amandaxbob said, “I have more faith now than I did before!”
Another user added, “Finally we’ll have Peeves.
I was really excited to see him in the movies but he never was there though. They really should have all the characters that were left out put back in.”
With Peeves being part of one of Professor McGonagall’s most iconic lines (“it unscrews the other way”, for those in the know), it will be exciting indeed for him to make an appearance in the upcoming television adaptation.
Hopefully we will find out for sure when filming begins later this year.
