The Boys season 4 finale is finally out, and it sets up the perfect crossover cameo opportunity for Gen V season 2. Despite it being a spinoff series, Gen V season 1 heavily tied into the world of The Boys, with it featuring some major cameos and even introducing a plot device that played a huge role in The Boys season 4. Gen V season 2 is set to release before the premiere of The Boys’ final season, and since the season 4 finale will undoubtedly have repercussions on Gen V season 2, this cameo only makes sense.
The Boys season 4 ended on a terrifying note, with The Boys failing to stop Homelander’s plan to gain power over the White House. In the finale, both Robert Singer and Victoria Neuman are ousted from office, with the supe-aligned Speaker of the House becoming President. Through his influence, Homelander manages to get the President to deputize a massive number of Vought’s supes, creating a police state where Homelander and his supe goons can carry out martial law. Gen V season 2 will see this storyline continued, albeit from the perspective of Marie and her friends from Godolkin.
Homelander Could Have Kimiko Sent To The Supe Detainment Facility From Gen V
Where Else Would He Be Taking Her?

One of the biggest mysteries from the end of Gen V season 1 has to do with the detainment of the main cast of characters. Marie and her friends wake up to find themselves in a mysterious jail cell at the end of season 1, with them not knowing where they are. The Boys season 4 interestingly parallels this ending, with The Boys all getting arrested as well. While most of The Boys who are arrested are normal humans, the supes also manage to nab Kimiko, meaning that an encounter between her and the Gen V cast is likely.
Since Kimiko is a rebellious supe, Homelander would undoubtedly want to put her in a detainment facility that can withstand her powers. So, it is entirely possible that Kimiko could be put in the same prison as Marie and her Gen V friends, putting the main characters from both shows in the same vicinity. This is incredibly exciting for Gen V season 2, as it sets up the perfect way for Kimiko to cross paths with these characters in Gen V‘s most significant The Boys crossover yet.
Kimiko’s Arrest Sets Up The Perfect Way For Her To Meet Gen V’s Characters
They Could Work Together To Escape

Kimiko undoubtedly wants to escape prison in order to rescue her human friends, and Marie and the Godolkin gang want to escape prison in order to help take down Vought. So, Kimiko meeting the Gen V cast would allow her to explain the development of The Boys season 4, encouraging them to escape even more. Following this, Kimiko could team up with the Gen V characters in order to stage a supe prison break. The powers of the Gen V cast combined with Kimiko’s experience from being on The Boys means that, by working together, they could pull this off.
Having Kimiko meet the Gen V characters in this way would be a big deal for The Boys season 5 as well. The Boys are always looking to recruit supes to their side, which is why they’ve worked with characters like Kimiko, Starlight, and A-Train. Having the entirety of Gen V‘s main cast join them in their fight against Homelander would be a big deal, and Kimiko’s potential encounter with them in Gen V season 2 could be the bridge that allows them to appear in The Boys season 5.
Could Kimiko Actually Appear In Gen V Season 2?
Based On Season 1’s Cameos, Kimiko and Frenchie Could Make An Appearance

Since Gen V is a spinoff of The Boys, some may be doubtful that a major The Boys character like Kimiko could play such a big role in season 2. However, it is pretty likely. Gen V season 1 featured some major cameos, with Homelander, Billy Butcher, Grace Mallory, Ashley Barrett, and more appearing in the spinoff. Some of these characters are even bigger deals than Kimiko, so it is entirely possible that she could be featured early in Gen V season 2.
Soldier Boy returns in The Boys season 4, meaning that Gen V season 2 could finally pay off season 1’s Cate gag.
The bigger question has to do with whether Kimiko would be able to play such a big role. Having Kimiko break out of prison and set off to find The Boys would make Gen V essential viewing for The Boys season 5. However, this was already the case with Gen V season 1, as things like the supe virus and Cate and Sam’s appearance in The Boys wouldn’t have made sense without the spinoff providing context. So, there is nothing in the way of Kimiko appearing in Gen V after The Boys season 5 finale.
