While the combat sports community is confident that Jake Paul will emerge victorious when he goes head-to-head with Mike Tyson, the YouTuber himself isn’t quite as certain, with a lie detector test revealing his insecurities.
‘The Problem Child’ and ‘Iron Mike’ were initially scheduled to settle their differences on July 20 at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, USA. However, as is unsurprising, at the age of 57, the ex-heavyweight King’s body failed him, with an ulcer flare-up aboard a plane forcing Netflix to postpone the significant event until November 15.

Jake Paul comically fails lie detector test ahead of Mike Tyson fight
In a testament to his natural athleticism and tremendous work ethic, Jake Paul has risen through the boxing ranks at a phenomenal rate.
From first boxing Deji with extremely limited skills, he’s developed into a formidable fighter with a fearsome right hand and an unrelenting will to win.
However, while his talent is evident, he’s received a considerable degree of criticism for his choice of opponent, facing off with a wrestler with a dodgy hip in the form of Ben Askren and a 47-year-old Anderson Silva.
But this time, he’s really taken the biscuit, with fans fuming over the prospect of a man in his twenties rendering a boxing legend unconscious.
For many, Mike Tyson is the reason they fell in love with the sport, with fans reminiscing fondly on the days they’d watch his peekaboo style and crazy finishes.
But while they’re understandably concerned for their hero, it appears the Paul brothers are just as worried, albeit for completely different reasons.
In a recent YouTube video, they decided to take lie detector tests and ask each other questions with extremely interesting results.
First, Logan Paul was asked whether he believed his brother would win the bout, to which he answered in the affirmative. Alas, the test revealed he was lying.
Of course, an annoyed Jake, shouted: “What the f**k?” However, when it was his turn, things didn’t work out much better.
After also failing the test, he said: “I’m nervous; it’s gonna be tough. Can we cut? It’s hot.”
Some may speculate that the comments were merely a way of convincing the fans that the bout is worth watching, but others will believe Paul understands no matter how much time passes, setting foot in the ring with Tyson will always be a daunting task.
However, while the social media star is concerned for the challenge ahead, he doesn’t have anywhere near as much on the line as another of combat sports’ most controversial characters.
Chael Sonnen reveals his biggest fear for boxing bout with Anderson Silva
On June 15, Chael Sonnen will go toe-to-toe with Anderson Silva for the third and final time. And after two failed efforts to beat ‘The Spider’, ‘The American Gangster’ is ready to put it all on the line to claim the redemption he so desperately craves.
Throughout his career, the popular fighter has earned a reputation as one of the greatest talkers to ever walk the face of the Earth. Often referred to as ‘the Muhammad Ali of MMA’, the Oregon native is credited for paving the way for the likes of Conor McGregor to verbally dismantle any opponent in his way.
However, while Sonnen is undeniably self-assured, having come up short twice in the past, it’s understandable why he may have some worries going into his first ever boxing match.
But rather than keep them to himself, he’s chosen to open up in a compelling breakdown.
