In season 1 of Netflix‘sWednesday, Jenna Ortega brought the iconic Addams Family character to life. This Wednesday was just as harsh and honest as the original, but she was placed in some situations reminiscent of teen dramas. This included a love triangle with Tyler Galpin (Hunter Doohan) and Xavier Thorpe (Percy Hynes White) and some tension with her new classmates. While adjusting to life at boarding school, Wednesday also got involved with what ended up being a fascinating and fun mystery. While Wednesday season 1 was popular, Wednesday season 2 should solve some problems from season 1.
Despite some criticism, fans are still looking forward to seeing more episodes featuring the cynical and intelligent teenager at Nevermore Academy. Viewers have some smart ideas about what they wish would occur when Wednesday season 2 comes back to Netflix.
What Fans Want To See In Wednesday Season 2

“I would LOVE for Tyler and Sheriff Galpin to heal their relationship somehow. I always thought it would be cool if Tyler ended up escaping and was on the run and then Sheriff Galpin would spend all of S2 trying to find him and then when he does they have some sort of big face off and Sheriff Galpin would ‘get through’ to Tyler by telling him how much he loves him or something.”
It would definitely be moving to see these characters connect more and change their dynamic. Other fans would like to see Wednesday season 2 take place at another location instead of Wednesday’s boarding school Nevermore.
“I prefer S2 not to be Wednesday doing another puzzle plot task at Nevermore. I would love to see it start at the Addams house and be outside the school.”
Other viewers agreed, with one suggesting that a storyline could find Wednesday visiting her family during the holidays. Considering how the Addams family does things, this would be both interesting and hilarious. In another Reddit thread, Redditor @Dante_Okkotsu wrote, “More monsters. Expanding the magic. More addams family in general. More of the setting beyond nevermore.”

Since season 1 finished with a cliffhanger ending about Wednesday receiving creepy text messages and a hint that she would come back to Nevermore, it seems likely that season 2 will have the same setting. However, it’s a good idea to feature an episode when Wednesday visits home. This would be a great way to add some more Addams Family Easter eggs. Since a common criticism was that Wednesday season 1 didn’t feel like an Addams Family project, Wednesday season 2 could solve that by integrating Addams Family elements a little more.
Other Wednesday fans wantWednesday season 2 to lean into horror elements and also focus on fan-favorite characters. While Wednesday has a high Rotten Tomatoes score, some viewers were disappointed by how different the character felt from the classic portrayal. Although many agree that season 1 wasn’t perfect, many fans have thought carefully about what they want from Wednesday season 2. Redditor @Impressive_Hope6985 wrote:
“Wednesday and Bianca being frenemies. A lot of world building. More horror aspects. Tyler getting a redemption arc. Less of a focus on romance. More Enid in general.”
Who Is Starring In Wednesday Season 2?

It’s possible to look at the cast of Wednesday season 2 and think about the potential plotlines. Hunter Doohan, who played Tyler Galpin in season 1, is returning. The fallout of learning the identity of the Hyde Monster will definitely be felt in season 2. Whether Wednesday should be in a relationship is one of the most highly debated aspects of the Netflix series. While some liked seeing it, others feel it doesn’t match up with what fans know about the famous Addams Family character. Either way, season 2 of Wednesday should answer some big questions, regardless of Tyler and Wednesday’s status.
Jamie McShane will appear briefly as Sheriff Donovan Galpin, which suggests he will look into the aftermath of the terrifying Hyde Monster and most likely continue to be suspicious of Wednesday. Emma Myers, who played Wednesday’s roommate Enid Sinclair who becomes a good friend, is coming back. Hopefully, Enid will be more involved in Wednesday’s life and help her solve the latest mystery.
Catherine Zeta-Jones and Luis Guzmán are also coming back to play Morticia and Gomez Adams, Wednesday’s mother and father. While Wednesday’s parents weren’t a huge part of season 1, they did appear sometimes, and they will definitely be in season 2.
