Jake Paul Unveils Shocking News About Mike Tyson Fight Following Boxing Legend’s Health Scare on Plane
Jake Paul has insisted his fight with Mike Tyson will go ahead as normal despite the boxing legend suffering a health scare earlier this week.
The bout between the two men is scheduled to take place in Arlington, Texas, on July 20.
Tyson became nauseous and dizzy due to an ulcer flare up while on a plane from Miami to Los Angeles on Monday, according to his representatives.
Flight staff had to ask passengers if there was a doctor on board to provide assistance, with paramedics then boarding the plane once it landed in LA.
Tyson is said to be ‘doing great’, but some fans feel his fight with Paul should be scrapped.
It is already a controversial showdown due to the huge 30-year age gap between the two men.
Yet Paul has now confirmed the bout will go ahead as planned, insisting nothing has changed.
He hit out at reports on Tyson’s current situation and said: “You love to make s**t up before knowing the facts for clicks / likes.
“Nothing changed #PaulTyson.”
In Touch first revealed that Tyson ‘had some kind of medical emergency on the plane’.
And an eyewitness was quoted as saying: “He was in first class, but we were an exit row.
“They asked us to stay on the plane and landed so paramedics could enter.
“[The stewardess] said something like, ‘He’s a really important passenger so we wanna make sure he’s OK.’
“I knew it was him, but I just mouthed the words ‘Mike Tyson’ and she nodded her head yes.”
On the plane landed at LAX, there was reportedly a delay of around 25 minutes while paramedics treated the boxing icon.
While there are fears for Tyson, however, his team insist he’s fully recovered from the incident.
His representatives told the New York Post: “Thankfully Mr Tyson is doing great.
“He became nauseous and dizzy due to an ulcer flare up 30 minutes before landing.
“He is appreciative to the medical staff that were there to help him.”
The fight between Tyson and Paul is set to be sanctioned as a professional vbout, instead of an exhibition one.
There will be eight two-minute rounds, however, instead of 10 or 12 rounds that last three minutes.
Tyson recently said he was behind that decision, saying: “I wanted the shorter rounds because I wanted more action.
“If we only have two minutes, we’ll fight more.”
As for Paul, the former YouTuber insists his fight with Tyson will be a huge event – and will likely be a sell-out.
“It’s crazy to think about but as many people as can fit in the stadium, I think it’s 90,000 or 93,000,” he told TMZ Sports.
“I think it’s going to be packed to the brim and the global viewership could be in the hundreds of millions.
“It’s wild and it doesn’t make any sense but the fact Netflix are part of this is the perfect piece of the puzzle.
“It makes it the perfect trifecta of Netflix’s audience, my audience and Mike Tyson’s audience. And to the kids at home, [it says] don’t listen to the critics.
“Do you and don’t be afraid to knock down the doors of opportunity because you truly never know where it’s going to lead you.”
