Joe Rogan blew away his fans with some impressive punches and kicks in a mixed martial arts workout video, drawing comparisons to Mike Tyson as one of the few men who can look that strong in their upper fifties.

Joe Rogan video draws Mike Tyson comparisons

You didn’t have to look far for the comparisons between the 56-year-old Rogan and 58-year-old Tyson, whose epic training videos ahead of his mega fight with Jake Paul are every bit as impressive.

“Rogan vs Tyson next?” asked a comment on the Instagram video with over 1,000 likes. Lots of other comments saw the similarity, suggesting that he fits the profile to be Paul’s next opponent.

Always desperate to be included in the conversation, social media troll Ryan Garcia threw his name in the ring as well, with a comment that said:

“I would Ko you so quick. But nice kicks fam. I’ll have mercy if you let me on the show.”

Rogan’s love for MMA is well known thanks to his long-serving role doing commentary for UFC. He’s been putting that love into practice after taking a year off to heal his knee, describing kickboxing as “one of my favorite things to do”, in the Instagram post with the video.

It’s another point of similarity between he and Tyson, who recently detailed his miraculous recovery from back problems that allowed him to get in proper shape for the fight with Paul.
