MMA fighter Dillon Danis has claimed to have inside information on why Mike Tyson‘s high-profile fight against Jake Paul was postponed as he hit out at the YouTuber.
The pair had been training for several months ahead of their scheduled July 20 clash at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, but a recent ulcer flare up left Tyson with worrying health issues.
The 58-year-old was unable to train and it was decided that the fight would be pushed back to a later date, despite the fact several health concerns have been raised about the former heavyweight champion.
Danis launched a scathing attack on Paul for refusing to call it quits on fighting Tyson, and the American claimed to have information that hasn’t yet been made public as to why it was postponed.
“I know the reason Mike Tyson had to postpone the fight,” Danis wrote on X. “I spoke to his close friend, and like [UFC president] Dana White said, he knows but doesn’t want to get involved in respect to Mike.
“It’s actually truly sad what’s going on. Jake Paul, you’re truly a scumbag for knowing what he’s going through and not ending this.”

It comes after Tyson was forced to explain why he was pictured in a wheelchair after breaking his back, and there have even been rumors questioning whether he could die in the ring if he is struck by Paul, who is 31 years his junior.
When announcing the delay, Most Valuable Promotions, who are staging the event, said that the new date for the Paul-Tyson fight is set to be revealed on Friday, June 7.
