“A year and a half ago, rehabbing a broken back meant severe pain and limited movement. Now, almost a year postpartum and progressively getting stronger every week. Proof that the body is capable of incredible things when you meet it with patience and intentional training,” Rae captioned the video.
“So proud of you @brittanylynne 🤍,” she added.
In March 2024, Brittany shared a message on her Instagram to her followers in which she revealed that she had sustained an injury.
“Just a daily reminder,” she wrote over a Boomerang selfie video posted to her Instagram Stories. “Once you have kids please take care of your pelvic floor. Seriously,” she added, singing the warning as “A girl with a fractured back.”

Brittany and Patrick were the parents of two children at the time: daughter Sterling Skye and son Patrick “Bronze” Lavon Mahomes III. The pair welcomed their third child, daughter Golden Raye, on Jan. 12, 2025.
That May, Brittany shared an update on her injury, and said she was “living my best life.”
“I’m doing great. My back is no longer broke, so that’s good,” Brittany told E! News.

“I’m still in the gym. I’m finally, I think, fully recovered and back to doing the things that I’ve always been able to do,” she shared. “I’m staying on top of my health, and being active and healthy for my kids and my dogs is super important to me.” While Brittany appears to be recovered nearly two and a half years later, her husband has only just begun a recovery journey of his own after tearing his ACL in a season-ending injury during the Chiefs-Chargers game on Sunday, Dec. 14.
