Dearest gentle reader, as we patiently wait for part two of Bridgerton season three to arrive to Netflix, you may be wondering what happens next for our favourite couples. No, not Penelope Featherington and Colin Bridgerton, but Marcus Anderson and Violent Bridgerton!
In episode three, we meet Lady Danbury’s brother, Lord Anderson (Daniel Francis), and learn he is a widower. Then, he soon seems to take an interest in none other than Violet Bridgerton (Ruth Gemmell) after they meet at a ball. But, what happens between them in the books by author Julia Quinn?
Move over, Lady Whistledown because while we’ve already got you covered on why Lord Anderson and Lady Danbury, don’t get on, here is everything you need to know about Marcus and Violet’s relationship in the books.

Do Marcus Anderson and Violet Bridgerton marry in the books?
Up until now, Violet has shown no interest in another man after her husband, Edmund Bridgerton, died suddenly from an allergic reaction to a bee sting. But, we couldn’t help but notice the chemistry between her and Lord Anderson in season three.
So, do they end up together in the books? Well, Marcus is actually not even a character in the books and was created solely for the series, with Violet never remarrying after Edmund’s death in the novels by Julia Quinn.
So, we don’t know for sure what will happen between the two in the series. But, if the books are anything to go by, they suggest that she never truly moves on from Edmund. Yet, as he’s a new character, we’ll have to wait and see for sure!
Bridgerton is streaming on Netflix now.
