Justin Bieber headlined Coachella’s second day

Justin Bieber has brutally snubbed Nicki Minaj after he performed their hit duet without her.

On April 11, Justin Bieber closed the second day of Coachella, headlining the day from the festival’s iconic Main Stage, performing a range of hits such as Baby, Never Say Never, and Sorry to a sold-out crowd.

He performed his older hits in a unique DJ-style way, sitting behind an Apple MacBook and searching for his songs on YouTube, a reference to his early days when he started as a performer on the video-streaming website. However, he did receive some backlash as it took him approximately an hour to perform any of his earlier hits.

During the performance, Justin Bieber invited one of his collaborators, Kid Laroi, on stage, with the duo playing their song “Stay” to a clearly overjoyed audience. He also sang with Tems, Wizkid, and Dijon on stage, performing their respective hits with the One Time star.

However, when it came time to perform Beauty and the Beat from Justin’s Believe album, Nicki Minaj, with whom he collaborated on the song, didn’t appear on stage. Furthermore, instead of performing the full song, Justin cut it off before Nicki Minaj’s verse started.

Fans reacted happily to Justin’s song choices, rushing to social media to share their thoughts, with one person writing, “Baby by Justin Bieber lives on even in my pores; I just got all teary-eyed watching him sing it.”

“Justin Bieber carrying an entire show just with vocals and old hits on YouTube, the guy is an artist,” added a second, with a third fan commenting, “Justin Bieber is the most humble artist. Others pointed out the fact that Nicki Minaj didn’t appear during the song, as a Justin fan said on X, “Bring out maga minaj for beauty and a beat and it’s gon’ be real snowy in the dessert.”

“IM CRYIN Justin really sat here and skipped Nicki’s entire verse on beauty and the beat oh maga Minaj,” quipped another fan, as a third wrote, “Justin cutting off beauty & the beat before Nicki came in had me DEADDD. Period king.”

This comes as Coachella sold out days after he was announced as the Saturday headliner.

Taking to social media to discuss his decision to perform at the iconic festival, he said, “Earlier this year, I went public with my battle with Ramsay-Hunt Syndrome, where my face was partially paralyzed. As a result of this illness, I was not able to complete the North American leg of the Justice Tour.

“After getting off stage, the exhaustion overtook me, and I realized that I need to make my health the priority right now,’ he explained. “So I’m going to take a break from touring for the time being. I’m going to be OK, but I need time to rest and get better.”
