Speaking on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Monday, July 8, the actress, 24, revealed that she had a childhood obsession with her A Family Affair costar, 36.

“I love him. I grew up with his face on everything I owned,” she revealed.

“Did you have a Zac Efron lunchbox or something?” asked host Jimmy Fallon.

“Did I have … among everything else!” said King. “All the merch that I could get my hands on and I was one of those kids, I was like, ‘Mom, the movie is going to be on at 8/7 Central. I don’t know what that means but I have to be home to watch.’ ”

“I had his face on everything and I was such a fan and he was so, so fantastic,” she added.

Asked by Fallon, 49, if she got to “nerd out and say, ‘Hey I loved you in High School Musical,’ ” King replied, “Yes, he was so gracious about it.”

“Like I would sing on set,” she continued before humming to High School Musical 3 song “Scream.”

“He would sing along with me and that was so great,” King added. “And he was also, again, so fit. He helped teach me about my protein intake. He’s very helpful with the wellness tips.”

The Kissing Booth star’s comments come after Efron gushed about King’s comedy skills in their Netflix movie A Family Affair, which also stars Nicole Kidman.

“When you walk in the room when Nicole and I are hooking up — it’s one of the funniest things ever,” Efron told King during a conversation for Entertainment Weekly earlier this month.

“Oh, that’s so nice of you,” King replied. “Oh, gosh.”
