EPIC HOOK: The Witcher final season powers up with NEW CAST MEMBERS as filming nears the endgame.

With Season 4 still teased for a 2025 release, Netflix is stacking its lineup to deliver the darkest, most intense chapter yet in Geralt’s saga.

The final seasons of The Witcher has rounded out its cast as season 4 is still teased for a 2025 release.

The Witcher Season 5 Adds New Cast Members

Filming for the fifth and final season of Netflix’s The Witcher is currently underway, with only weeks remaining until the end. The fourth season, which will see Liam Hemsworth’s debut as Geralt, replacing Henry Cavill, still has no release date, but we keep getting news on who’s joining these two final seasons.

Here’s a recap of new cast additions that will appear in the final season of The Witcher.

The Witcher finally casts Shani

Shani Cast

Emily-Jo Young (Sexy Beast) has been cast as Shani in The Witcher Season 5. She’ll be introduced in the second block of the final season, that is, episode 3 or 4.

In Andrzej Sapkowski’s books, Shani was a medical student in the Oxenfurt Academy and participated in a small mission with Geralt, Jaskier, and Philippa in Blood of Elves. Later, in Lady of the Lake, she was one of the field medics in the Battle of Brenna.

In the Netflix series, she was thought to be cut as she never appeared in Season 2, which was meant to adapt Blood of Elves. But now that Season 5 is adapting Lady of the Lake, Shani has finally been cast and not lost in the cutting room floor.

Condwiramurs Tilly: the oneiromancer 100 years in the future

Liv Andrusier

Liv Andrusier

Liv Andrusier (Les Misérables) has joined The Witcher Season 5 in the recurring role of Condwiramurs Tilly.

Tilly is a oneiromancer, a mage who specializes in the interpretation and research of dreams. In Andrzej Sapkowski’s Lady of the Lake, Condwiramurs is invited by Nimue to help her discover details about Ciri’s legend, as Condwiramurs was also interested in Ciri.

The Witcher Season 4 will introduce Nimue, a young girl who is alive some 100 years after Geralt, Ciri and Yennefer have passed and have become a legend. Nimue, played by Eve Ridley, is very interested in these stories and seeks every opportunity to learn more. Luckily, there is Stribog (Clive Russell), a wandering storyteller who comes to Nimue’s village once in a while and tells various tales to local kids in exchange for food.

Season 4 of The Witcher will open with Stribog telling one of these stories to Nimue and the other kids. The kids keep interrupting him with other versions of the story they heard. Meanwhile, we get a montage. Geralt fights Vilgefortz with each cut having some slight differences. Once he’s in his black shirt, as seen in Season 3, other times he’s fighting the same fight in his Season 2 armor, and so on. We saw The Witcher re-enacting that Season 3 fight for Season 4 with Liam Hemsworth.

Toussaint confirmed for The Witcher Season 5

Toussaint Witcher

Toussaint in CD Projekt Red’s The Witcher III: Wild Hunt

Andy Apollo (The Diplomat, Black Mirror) and Taylor James (Vikings: Valhalla) have been cast as Reynart de Bois-Fresnes and Baron de Trastamara. They will be introduced somewhere in the middle of the final season.

In Andrzej Sapkowski’s books, Reynart was a Toussaint knight who first appears just outside the borders of the duchy when he and his fellow knights save Geralt and his Hansa from an attack. Right afterwards, they are escorted to Beauclair by Reynart and given food and shelter. Geralt and friends stay there for a few months, and Reynart becomes the witcher’s friend as time passes.

In the books, there is also a Toussaint Baron called Amadis de Trastamara. He appears during a feast at the Beauclair palace, where Geralt and his Hansa were also invited.

This collectively confirms the inclusion of the fan-favorite Toussaint region in The Witcher Season 5.

Priestess casting confirms Skellige

Lysa Arryn

Kate Dickie as Lysa Arryn in Game of Thrones

Kate Dickie has been cast as Sigrdrifa in the final season of The Witcher. Sigrfrida is a priestess in the Temple of Freya, a goddess the Skelligans worship. Specifically, the temple is on Hindarsfjall, and The Witcher 3 players have surely visited it.

In the books, there is a brief storyline where Yennefer has to flee the Lodge of Sorceresses and ends up in Skellige, meeting Crach an Craite and later Sigrdrifa. Yennefer visits the temple and has a very memorable sequence there. This confirms that the storyline will be part of The Witcher Season 5.

Kate Dickie will be best known to fantasy fans as the actress who portrayed Lysa Arryn in Game of Thrones. Additionally, her projects include The WitchTinsel TownLoki, and, most recently, for Netflix, Dept. Q.

Other new additions

There are more new actors joining The Witcher‘s final season. Some are known characters, some appear to be original ones, created for the series. Among the known ones are Chike Chan (Emmerdale) as Old Barring, Milva’s father, and Adam Basil (The Gentlemen) as Knocker, a creature that helps Geralt out in a rather funny way.

Other new cast members with original roles include Jamie Michie, Bobby Rainsbury, Adam Trussell, Simon Meacock, Ben Jones, Tega Alexander, Poppy Lee Friar, Una Byrne, Warren James Dunning, Jenny Bolt, Laurie Duncan, and others.
