Hugh Jackman is back as Wolverine in this summer’s most-anticipated movie Deadpool & Wolverine, so what better time to revisit what we thought was his Marvel swan song?

He had some highs as Wolverine – X2 and X-Men: Days of Future Past, among others – and he had some lows – hi, X-Men Origins: Wolverine – but Logan marked Jackman’s best outing as Wolverine and also the one that broke us as fans.

If you’ve never seen it or fancy a rewatch before Deadpool 3Logan airs tonight (May 26) at 9pm on E4. Don’t worry if you’ve got other plans, as it’ll be available to watch on Channel 4’s streaming service shortly after broadcast.

Logan also gets another airing on E4 at 9pm on Friday, May 31.

If you just can’t wait until tonight to watch Logan, then you can also watch every one of Jackman’s outings as Wolverine – even his uncredited cameos in X-Men: First Class and X-Men: Apocalypse – right now on Disney+.

Given how Logan ends, it’s fair that many Marvel fans were worried that Jackman’s return in the new Deadpool movie would mess with what happened.

It’s something that he was also aware of when it came to making his return. “All because of this device they have in the Marvel world of moving around timelines, now we can go back because it’s ‘science’,” Jackman said in December 2022.

“So I don’t have to screw with the Logan timeline, which was important to me and, I think, probably to the fans.”

Since then, Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige has confirmed that it’s a different Wolverine we’ll be seeing in Deadpool & Wolverine.

However, we imagine we can still expect a few gags at the expense of X-Men Origins: Wolverine.

Logan airs tonight (May 26) at 9pm on E4 and will be available to watch on Channel 4’s streaming service shortly after broadcast.
