The team behind Off Campus is asking fans to keep it respectful as the hit Prime Video series gears up for its second season.

On Thursday, the show’s official social media accounts shared a statement urging members of the fandom to treat the cast and those close to them with kindness.

“The Off Campus community is built on a shared love of storytelling – and on respect for the real people who bring it to life,” the statement said. “We ask that everyone in this space extend that respect to our cast and the people in their lives.”

The post concluded with a warning for users who cross the line.

“Accounts that engage in targeted harassment will be removed from following our accounts,” the statement read.

The message arrives as the series prepares to begin work on its second season.

Based on the bestselling book series by Elle Kennedy, Off Campus premiered on Prime Video on May 13 and adapted the first novel, The Deal. The season followed Briar University’s star hockey player Garrett Graham (Belmont Cameli), whose academic struggles lead him to seek help from aspiring songwriter Hannah Wells (Ella Bright).

What begins as a fake dating arrangement designed to make Hannah’s crush, singer Justin Kohl (Josh Heuston), jealous eventually develops into a genuine romance.

The season also introduced Garrett’s teammates and housemates, John Logan (Antonio Cipriano), John Tucker (Jalen Thomas Brooks) and Dean DiLaurentis (Stephen Kalyn), as well as Hannah’s best friend Allie (Mika Abdalla).

Season 1 ended on a cliffhanger involving Dean, Allie and newcomer Hunter Davenport (Charlie Evans), prompting speculation among viewers about where the story could go next.

Prime Video later confirmed that season 2 will shift focus to Dean and Allie’s romance, adapting Kennedy’s third novel in the series, The Score.

Dean and Allie’s relationship is a fan-favorite romance from the series, and several of the couple’s early relationship moments were already incorporated into season 1.

Although portions of their story have already appeared onscreen, showrunner Louisa Levy previously told PEOPLE that fans still have plenty to look forward to when the pair officially take center stage.

“They still have plenty of story to explore when we do get to their season,” Levy said. “We still have plenty to play with with them, but being able to tee that up in this season was really fun.”

The message from Off Campus follows a similar approach taken by another Prime Video adaptation. Last year, ahead of its third and final season, The Summer I Turned Pretty shared a statement on Instagram and X encouraging fans to “be kind” and warning that users engaging in bullying or hate speech directed at cast or crew members would be banned.
