Fenech’s prediction for the highly-anticipated fight

Mike Tyson‘s former trainer Jeff Fenech believes that Mike Tyson will knock out Jake Paul within two rounds. However, Fenech emphasizes that the upcoming bout is significant beyond just the knockout.
The match is set for eight rounds of two minutes each, unlike the typical three-minute rounds in men’s professional boxing. The fighters will use 14-ounce gloves instead of the usual 10-ounce ones, providing more padding and reducing punch impact.
Fenech’s prediction
Despite this, Fenech is confident that Tyson‘s power will be too much for Paul to handle, even at 58 years old.
“I have no doubt if Mike takes it easy and doesn’t try to punch at the same time, if he makes Jake Paul miss, Mike will knock him out in a couple of rounds. One-hundred per cent,” Fenech told Wide World of Sports.
“I spoke to Mike and I told him what I felt. Hopefully he’ll listen to me. We said the same thing anyway. If he does what he said then I have no doubt he will knock him out. He’ll have no problem.”
Fenech, who knows Tyson well from their past collaborations, was there for the end of Tyson’s professional career, including his surprising loss to Kevin McBride in 2005. He also trained Tyson for his 2020 exhibition against Roy Jones Jr.
Mike Tyson has described his return to the ring as a “miracle,” revealing that he once feared he would need to use a wheelchair for the rest of his life.
“Listen, it’s a miracle. I didn’t know what was going to happen in my life,” he said.
“I was scared I was going to be in a wheelchair for the rest of my life.
“You get so…I don’t want to say depressed. Discouraged.
“Your back hurts, there’s nothing I can do. I’m useless.”
