The heavyweight division in boxing is on fire at the moment. Oleksandr UsykTyson Fury and Anthony Joshua have been household names for a while and they continue to drive the division’s narrative in their mid-30s.

With Usyk and Fury gearing up for a rematch at the end of the year, Joshua is set to take on Daniel Dubois for the IBF title that Usyk vacated. Although they aren’t fighting each other and haven’t done so yet, Joshua and Fury took to FaceTime recently to trash-talk each other.

Will we get a Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua fight eventually?

Saudi Arabian promoter Turki Alalshikh got Fury on the phone while he was in a meeting with Joshua. Joshua tells Fury “I’m waiting for you” and tells him to stop using his mouth so much instead of his fists. Fury responds by saying he’ll use both on his face.

Joshua got a final dig in when Fury said that he has to “deal with Usyk again“, with Joshua reminding him that he didn’t deal with him the first time, when he lost.

The easiest path to a Fury-Joshua fight would be both winning their upcoming fights and setting up an undisputed bout. But if both lose, that could also be a possibility. One winning and the other losing would have to force them to wait a little while before it could materialize.
