Nick Cannon Calls Himself Eminem Fan, Rates His Top 5 Songs

To celebrate Eminem’s birthday, Nick Cannon dedicated the World Famous Top 5 segment on his show entirely to Marshall’s music.
The segment was short and very to the point:
Contrary to popular belief, I am an Eminem fan. To celebrate Eminem, we’re gonna do the top 5 Eminem songs. No. 5, the one that put him on the map, “My Name Is”. No.4? This was a big one. He was talking that talk, he was putting it all out there: “Cleanin’ Out My Closet”. No. 3, the most creative song I’ve ever heard in hip hop, and he’s joined on there by the one and only Dr. Dre: “Guilty Conscious”. Hey, we’re talking shit on that one right there. Dre, it didn’t make you look good, the shit that Em was saying about you. I would never let my artist disrespect me like that. No. 2, Slim Shady’s song of all time. This is where it gets controversial, ladies and gentlemen. One of the best stories in hip hop history. Here is “Stan”. Some people say “Stan” could be No.1. Men lie, women lie, but numbers don’t. Take them all the way to the Oscars. Eminem’s biggest song ever. You know it, you love it — “Lose Yourself”. There it is, your top 5 Eminem songs of all time. Do you agree?
It is a rather conventional list of songs that can hardly surprise anyone. What is surprising (but probably should not, after everything we heard from Cannon over the years of him beefing with Eminem) is that he cannot understand the difference between the lyrical narrative and real life. Right there, when he refused to see characters in “Guilty Conscious” and declared that Em was disrespecting Dr. Dre. Or maybe, Cannon decided to throw in some shade because he just cannot when he talks about Eminem. And it always gives him more clout and more points. Just like recently, when he threw a punch at Eminem on his Wild N’Out show – and immediately made a news story out of it and provided a special video with a diss line.
Still, Cannon’s attempt to demonstrate respect for Eminem publicly deserves some positive reinforcement, so here we are. You can watch Nick’s World Famous Top 5: Top 5 Eminem Songs below:
