Kelly Clarkson, Adam Levine, Riley Green, and now Queen Latifah are officially set for the milestone 30th season of The Voice.

NBC announced on Tuesday that Latifah, a Grammy-winning musician, Emmy-winning producer, and Oscar-nominated actress, will bring her industry experience to this fall’s coaching lineup. The multi-hyphenate is also a record label president, National Medal of the Arts recipient, and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee. This marks her debut season on The Voice.

Last week, Green was announced as a first-time coach. He’s a CMA and ACM Award-winning country star who rose to fame after releasing his self-titled EP in 2018. Hits like the two-times platinum “There Was This Girl,” the three-times platinum “I Wish Grandpas Never Died,” and his chart-topping Thomas Rhett collaboration “Half of Me” have helped establish him as one of the genre’s most recognizable new talents.

THE COACHES

While Latifah and Green are newbies, Levine and Clarkson are The Voice mainstays. Levine, the lead singer of Maroon 5, returns for his 19th season on the panel; Clarkson is set for her 11th cycle after previously stepping away from the NBC competition series for several seasons.

“Team Kelly has RE-entered the chat,” the show’s Instagram account posted on May 7 while announcing Clarkson’s return. “Kelly Clarkson returns as a Coach this fall on The Voice!”

“I will be back,” Levine told People on April 14, the same day the Season 29 finale aired on NBC. “I’m having so much fun doing it. Since I came back a few seasons ago, it’s just been a blast, and I’m super happy to keep it going as long as they’ll have me.”

Gold Derby previously learned exclusively that The Voice would return to its traditional four-coach format after Season 29’s “Battle of Champions” twist featured only three coaches.

Audrey Morrissey, the show’s longtime executive producer and showrunner, told us, “It’ll be four coaches.” She also confirmed the producers have “thought about” doing an all-stars season featuring fan-favorite contestants, though that won’t be happening for Season 30.

THE PREMIERE DATE

The new episodes will air in the fall of 2026, but a specific premiere date has not yet been revealed. The most recent fall cycles all debuted in the latter half of September: Season 28 on Sept. 22, 2025; Season 26 on Sept. 23, 2024; Season 24 on Sept. 25, 2023; and Season 22 on Sept. 19, 2022.

THE PRODUCTION SCHEDULE

The Voice typically films two seasons around the same time at Universal Studios in Hollywood, so the blind auditions for Season 30 have likely already concluded. Virtual open call auditions for future seasons are currently available on the show’s official website.

Gold Derby has learned that, in a nod to the franchise’s 30th anniversary, this season will feature surprises along the way. That means special appearances from former coaches and mentors, callbacks to memorable moments, and more. Stay tuned.

THE HOST

Carson Daly has hosted all 29 seasons of The Voice so far, so we expect him to be officially announced as the Season 30 host in the coming weeks. We’re also waiting to learn if Druski will return as the on-camera commentator after being introduced in Season 29.

THE WINNERS

On April 14, Levine’s artist Alexia Jayy joined the long list of The Voice winners — see them all below. That marked Levine’s fourth overall victory after Season 1’s Javier Colon, Season 5’s Tessanne Chin, and Season 9’s Jordan Smith. The coach with the best track record of all time is Blake Shelton, who won nine titles throughout his 23-season run.
