‘The Lincoln Lawyer’ Season 5 Cast Changes: 4 Stars Likely Exiting, Several Will Return (Based on Info From the Books!)

The Lincoln Lawyer season five is officially on the way, and we have info about the cast list for the next season based on the show’s source material.
Season five is set to adapt the “Resurrection Walk” book in the Mickey Haller series, which gives us a lot of clues about who may be returning for the new season.
By the way, season four just debuted earlier this month.
In the fourth season, Mickey Haller faces his toughest case yet as he and his team work tirelessly to prove his innocence in the murder of a former client, Sam Scales. To clear his name, they must unravel Sam’s final scam, forcing them to go head-to-head with the DA’s office, the FBI, and ghosts from Mickey’s own past.
Keep reading to see who is likely returning and who is likely exiting ahead of The Lincoln Lawyer season give…

Manuel Garcia-Rulfo – Obviously Returning!
Manuel Garcia-Rulfo is course starring as Mickey Haller once again!
Here’s the character description, from Netflix: Our titular hero got his name because he eschews a brick-and-mortar office for one on wheels: namely, his Lincoln SUV. But he’s forced to put down roots when a fellow lawyer, Jerry Vincent, mysteriously dies and leaves his entire practice — and entire case load — to Mickey. Born in Los Angeles and raised partially in Mexico by his mother, Mickey is just returning to work after a hiatus. (He became dependent on prescription pain pills following an accident, but has now kicked the habit.) He has two ex-wives (with whom he’s still very friendly) and relies on a client turned driver to chauffeur him around his hometown.

Becki Newton – Should Return
Becki Newton should be back as Lorna Crane for the fifth season, as her character is featured in the book.
Here’s her character description, from Netflix: Mickey is close to his second ex-wife, Lorna, too. So close, in fact, that she’s his office manager and paralegal of sorts. (She was once a promising law student, but never finished her JD.) Although they’ve been split for years and Lorna is engaged to Cisco, they still admire each other.

Jazz Raycole – Should Return
Jazz Raycole should be back as Izzy Letts for season five, as her character is featured in the book.
Here’s her character description, from Netflix: Originally one of Mickey’s clients, Izzy is a former professional dancer who’s recovered from a painkiller addiction. When she doesn’t have enough money to pay for Mickey’s services, he offers her a job instead: as his personal driver. Mickey may practice law from the back seat of a Lincoln, but Izzy’s the one in the driver’s seat.

Angus Sampson – Should Return
Angus Sampson should be reprising his role as Dennis ‘Cisco’ Wojciechowski in season five, as his character does appear in the book.
Here’s his character description, from Netflix: In addition to being Mickey’s key investigator, Cisco is also Lorna’s fiancé. He’s a former biker gang member with street smarts to spare and plenty of LAPD connections that come in handy. Like everyone else, he’s also on Team Mickey (despite being engaged to his ex-wife).

Neve Campbell – Should Return
After having a reduced role in season three, Neve Campbell returned full time in season four. In the book based on season 5, her character is also back so fans expect to see her as well.
Here’s her character description, from Netflix: Deputy district attorney Maggie is also Mickey’s first ex-wife and mother of his daughter, Haley. Maggie deeply believes in the justice system, which is occasionally at odds with Mickey’s view of the power structure in the US. (He fights for the underdogs who don’t have the power of bureaucracy behind them.) Maggie and Mickey divorced because Mickey lost himself in his work instead of focusing on his family, but there are still sparks between the two.

Krista Warner – Should Return
Krista Warner should be back as Hayley Haller, as her character does appear in the season 5 book.
Here’s her character description, from Netflix: Hayley is Mickey and Maggie’s daughter, who sometimes has qualms with her father’s representation of criminals.

Cobie Smulders – Should Return
When Cobie Smulders casting for season four of the series was announced, it was confirmed she had the potential to return for a fifth season, should the show get renewed! Well, it got renewed, and we’re assuming she’ll definitely be back!
Deadline reports that she’ll be playing a character named Allison, who is “an important character connected to Mickey Haller.”

Constance Zimmer – Return Seems Unlikely
Constance Zimmer joined the cast as a series regular portraying the role of Dana Berg in season four, but her character does not appear in the season 5 book.

Sasha Alexander – Return Seems Unlikely, Unless She’s Written In
The Morning Show‘s Sasha Alexander booked a recurring role in season four as FBI Agent Dawn Ruth. The character is not mentioned in the season 5 book source material, so her return seems unlikely…unless she’s written in, of course!

Elliott Gould – Exiting
Elliott Gould returned as Legal Siegal in season four, but his character was killed off.
Lorna approaches Mickey and Maggie in season 4, episode six and says, “Legal had a heart attack. He was on the bus, and we were talking. I thought everything was fine. He’s gone, Mickey… I talked to his son and they’re gonna try to do the funeral in the next couple of days.”

Yaya DaCosta – Exiting
Yaya DaCosta did not return as Andrea Freeman in season four, and her character is also not featured in “Resurrection Walk,” the book taking the focus in season five.
It seems unlikely that she’ll return as that time, unless she is written in specifically.
