Sydney shootings: Two victims suffer gunshot injuries in separate attacks at Lalor Park and Bass Hill
An arrest has been made following the Sunday night incidents.
Multiple gunshots allegedly fired from a home in Sydney’s west have hit a victim on the street.
A 29-year-old man was struck outside the property on Northcott Rd at Lalor Park about 8.45pm on Sunday.
Responding paramedics treated the shooting victim, who was then hospitalised in a stable condition.
The man’s gunshot injury is not believed to be life-threatening.
NSW Police were told multiple unknown people had fired the gunshots from the home, but only one person is in custody.
Investigations led to the arrest of a 46-year-old man at a Northcott Rd home about 3am on Monday. He was taken to Riverstone Police Station, but no charges have been laid at this stage.
Just over an hour later, shots were fired into a home 40 minutes south on Arundle Rd at Bass Hill.
A 25-year-old man presented to Liverpool Hospital with gunshot wounds about 10.10pm.
The man suffered leg, arm, and chest injuries, and remains in hospital in a serious but stable condition.
A Holden Commodore was found on fire on Rex Rd at Georges Hall shortly after. Fire and Rescue NSW extinguished the blaze.
Detectives believe the Bass Hill shooting and the car fire are linked, but no arrests have been made in relation to the incidents at this stage.
Investigations are ongoing.
