Many fans fell in love with Emmy Russell during her time on “American Idol,” because of the way she came out of her shell and shared her talent.

Since her time on the show, the granddaughter or Loretta Lynn has taken a step back from the limelight to focus on something bigger — starting her family. And after having a daughter, Taylor Raydiant Ward, with her husband, fellow singer Tyler Ward, she took to social media recently with more big news.

“I have a surprise,” Russell whispered into the camera as she held a pregnancy test in the video that she shared to Instagram.

She then handed the test to her daughter and called her husband into the room.

“We got a surprise,” she said.

“What does she have?” Ward asked as he walked over and scooped up his daughter.

That’s when he realized what was going on and broke into a smile as the family embraced.

It was an amazing and emotional moment shared with fans and friends who were quick to send love. There will be plenty of prayers for the 27-year-old, too, after she revealed last yar that giving birth to her first daughter turned into a dangerous situation.

She shared on Instagram that she lost a liter of blood and had to have a blood transfusion.

Taste of Country cited the Cleveland Clinic in reporting that a liter of blood is about 20 percent of the total amount of blood in a human’s body. Postpartum hemorrhage, per the site, occurs in 1-5 percent of deliveries and while most mothers recover quickly, it can also be fatal if left untreated.

And Russell revealed in a follow-up video, that she actually lost 1.6 liters of blood.
