Lily Collins has revealed she didn’t get any special treatment from her husband Charlie McDowell while filming her latest film, Windfall, which he directed.
The actress, 33, joined forces with her filmmaker spouse, 38, to work on the new Netflix picture but insisted that he treated her just like any other member of the cast.
She told The Hollywood Reporter: ‘It’s really funny because I kept forgetting that we were together, because he treats everyone equally and he’s such an actor’s director.
‘The way in which he communicates was so easy that it felt as easy as it normally is. But I always saw him as my director.
‘Obviously, going home at the end of the night to talk about the day is different.’
It comes after the daughter of Phil Collins celebrated half a year of marriage with Charlie.
The pair were seen fist-bumping each other in one of the pictures shared to Instagram earlier this month.

‘Today marks 6 months of marriage,’ she wrote in her caption.
Also in the post she plugged their Netflix feature and made a point to say collaborating with her husband was a particularly enjoyable part of the production process.
‘One of my favorite parts of shooting this film was getting to work with my director and love @charliemcdowell,’ she wrote.
Lily went on to express that she was happy to have worked with her spouse and that she was excited about the movie’s upcoming debut.

‘Thank you for being my partner in all things and for trusting me with this character (and holding the camera!) I’m so proud to have been part of this incredibly special project and can’t wait for you guys to see it,’ she wrote.
The couple initially met while working on the set of Charlie’s upcoming feature Gilded Rage.
The filmmaker had previously been romantically linked to figures such as Emilia Clarke and Rooney Mara.

Lily and her now-husband went Instagram official in 2019, and they made their first public appearance as a couple the following year.
The Emily In Paris star went on to announce that she had become engaged to the filmmaker with a post that was shared to her Instagram account in October of 2020.
The happy couple eventually made their union official during a wedding ceremony that was held in Colorado last October.

Lily and Charlie’s involvement in the production of Windfall was initially revealed last July, when several sources reported that they were working on the feature.
The movie follows a young couple who make a last-minute trip to their vacation home only to find it being robbed by a stranger.
In addition to the actress, the flick – which was released on Friday – features the talents of Jason Segel and Jesse Plemons.
The feature’s leads, along with Charlie, all serve as producers on the film, which was filmed last year.
