Off Campus Issues Warning Against Harassment Ahead of Season 2

The official Off Campus social media accounts urged fans to have “respect for the real people” on the Prime Video series as the cast and crew begin production of season two.

Off Campus is calling all fans for a team huddle.

With production officially underway for season two of the hockey romance and its stars preparing to return to the fictional Briar University, the series issued a reminder of kindness.

“The Off Campus community is built on a shared love of storytelling—and on respect for the real people who bring it to life,” the June 11 statement shared to the show’s social media accounts read. “We ask that everyone in this space extend that respect to our cast and the people in their lives.”

The message concluded with a warning for online users, adding, “Accounts that engage in targeted harassment will be removed from following our accounts.”

The reminder comes days after Mika Abdalla—who will lead season two as Allie Hayes opposite Stephen Kalyn‘s Dean Di Laurentis—and ex-fiancé Jake Short addressed comments made in a resurfaced 2024 clip on his and Bradley Steven Perry‘s The Sit and Chat podcast that fans felt were disrespectful toward the actress.

“We’ve seen a conversation around clips of us together when we were in a relationship,” the exes said in a joint statement to Us Weekly June 5, “and people making harmful and inaccurate assumptions about our dynamic.”

Abdalla, 26, and Short, 29, emphasized that they had been in a “loving, respectful relationship” for years, so they felt it was especially “hurtful to see playful moments dissected in a way that does not reflect the respect and love we had and still have for each other.”

Meanwhile, the Ant Farm alum shared his own statement expressing remorse for jokingly calling Abdalla “some b–ch” when asked by Perry to describe her in the awkward clip.

“I made a disrespectful, juvenile joke in a clip that recirculated this week,” he wrote on Instagram Stories. “It’s imperative to me that I take accountability as I am aware that it was inappropriate.”

“It’s not representative of who I am or who I was in my relationship,” he continued, “but I continue to learn from this situation and work to show people the respect they deserve.”

The pair—who had been engaged since 2025—confirmed that they had ended their relationship amicably after five years together just days earlier.

“Due to recent interest in Mika’s personal life, it would feel remiss to not address that her and Jake are no longer together,” the Sex Appeal actress’ rep told the outlet June 2. “They continue to support each other and remain on friendly terms, and kindly ask for privacy and respect.

In March 2024, Lovatsis flashed a diamond ring on her Instagram Stories—and it was on her finger at the Off Campus premiere in May, an event that Kalyn may have never even been at if not for her.

“My fiancée read the books a long time ago, and her favorite character was Dean,” the actor told Elite Daily. “So when they announced this show, she told me I had to audition. She said, ‘There’s no other option: You have to be Dean.’”

“I love a good slow burn,” the L.A. native told The Hollywood Reporter “and the things that are set up for Tucker, of him becoming this gentle giant, I think fans are going to love.”

The Australian actor won’t be in season two of Off Campus, as Hannah realized that her crush Justin was not the guy for her.

But maybe Justin is just taking a gap year, since, as series creator Louisa Levy told TV Guide, “We never got a chance to meet Stella, who is the person he ends up with in the book. So maybe we’ll find a way to fold him into a future season.”

Heuston doesn’t appear to be coupled up off-camera, either, though he’s looking forward to that chapter.

“At some point, I definitely just want the kids and the white picket fence and that sort of lifestyle,” Heuston told Esquire Australia in 2025. “But that feels quite far off right now. Who knows, though? In this life, I’ve found that things can change quickly.”
