Josie Gibson’s dream holiday with her six-year-old son Reggie, turned into a nightmare after an accident left her bedbound and on crutches.
‘I was brushing my teeth when the vanity unit came down on my foot. I spent the whole holiday in bed with my leg in the air!’ she revealed when talking to Alison on Friday’s This Morning. ‘You couldn’t make it up!’
After doctors in Dubai diagnosed her with a fractured foot, Josie was left hobbling into the studio on crutches, with her foot left in a medical boot. ‘All I know is, when I stand up and the blood rushes to it, the pain is excruciating’ she said.
Josie posted to her social media that she’d been in hospital earlier in the week, where UK doctors suggested she had suffered soft tissue damage.
As a surprise for Josie, and to make sure she wasn’t standing in pain, Alison brought in her surprise gift – a customised mobility scooter which had been blinged up for the occasion!
