Jennifer Lopez remained in the Hamptons in New York as she celebrated her milestone birthday on Wednesday, July 24

Happy birthday, Jennifer Lopez!

Lopez marked her 55th birthday on Wednesday, July 24, by sharing a video to Instagram showcasing a montage of moments from the Bridgerton-inspired party she held on July 20 in the Hamptons, New York.

The dramatic video montage — set to orchestral music — showed a collection of images of Lopez throughout the night, as well as videos of guests, attendees and performers dancing as if they were at a 19th-century English ball, akin to Netflix’s popular historical romance series.

At one point in the video, Lopez can be seen singing into a microphone. The video ends with the Atlas star blowing out the candles on a cake as sparkles fly behind her. “Dearest Gentle Reader… And a splendid evening was had by all,” she wrote in a caption to her video.

Guests at Lopez’s birthday party included her mother Guadalupe Rodríguez, who was seen arriving at the event with friends dressed in period-appropriate attire on Saturday.

Lopez’s husband Ben Affleck did not attend the party, as multiple confirmed to PEOPLE on July 21. The pair have remained on separate coasts for much of this summer and recently spent another significant milestone apart — their second wedding anniversary, which fell on July 16.

Lopez has enjoyed her time in the Hamptons this summer, sometimes with Affleck’s daughter Violet. The duo was spotted spending the day together in Southampton on Sunday, July 14, on a bike ride, shopping and having a meal with Violet’s friend, actress Cassidey Fralin.

“Her summer isn’t exactly what she originally had planned, but she’s making the best of it,” a source recently told PEOPLE of Lopez. “She’s always grateful for family time.”

The This Is Me… Now musician also celebrated July Fourth on the east coast, while Affleck was seen spending time with his children in Los Angeles for the national holiday.

Lopez spent her 54th birthday in 2023, dancing on a table in an elegant silver gown, sipping cocktails and enjoying picturesque views while wearing a black bikini and matching hat, gold jewelry, and a glossy pink lip, as seen in an Instagram post she shared a the time. “Birthday mood…all month!! Always a good day when Lola comes to play… #OnTheJLo: Birthday Edition coming soon,” the Marry Me star captioned a carousel of photos at the time.

Lopez spent her 2021 birthday celebration by going Instagram official with Affleck, posting a photo of the pair aboard a yacht in the Mediterranean Sea shortly after the two had rekindled their romance.
