A man and a teenage boy have been charged with murder in connection with the death of Bobby Bloomfield in Brentwood. The schoolboy, 12, died in hospital after being found with serious injuries on Sunday evening (June 7).

Police were called to Ashwells Road in the Pilgrims Hatch area at around 5.40pm to reports of a vehicle colliding with a child. Officers attended and found Bobby with serious injuries before he was taken to hospital.

Police arrested a 15-year-old boy and a 43-year-old man on suspicion of murder that evening. They have both since been charged with murder.

William Lunnon, 43, of Ashwells Road in Pilgrims Hatch, and the boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, will appear before Magistrates on Thursday (June 11). Officers also arrested four more people on Tuesday afternoon (June 9) in connection with the incident.
