While filming the Harry Potter movies, Felton made Watson’s heart skip a beat just like he did for most fans. However, for the actress, it was different from the rest of the world.

Recalling the particular moment when the child actors had a strange drawing lesson in between filming, Emma Watson mentioned falling head over heels for her co-star, after watching his drawing.

“I walked into the room where we were having tutoring. The assignment that had been given was to draw what you thought God looked like, and Tom had drawn a girl with a backward cap on a skateboard. And I just don’t know how to say it — I just fell in love with him.”

Later on, it was revealed that Tom Felton was quite aware of his secret admirer, but being three years older than her, the actor often told Watson, “You’re like my little sister”. Thus, he later admitted,

“I became very protective over her. Yeah, I’ve always had a soft spot for her and that continues to this day. There’s always been something that’s like, I don’t know, a kinship.”
