Rapper, writer, and producer Eminem can add another proclamation to his rap sheet: grandfather.

The Detroit rapper’s daughter — Hailie Jade Scott, 29 — has given birth to a baby boy. Scott is married to Evan McClintock.

Eminem’s Grandson: Check the Initials

The McClintocks started dating in 2016. The two live a mostly private life, although we do know the two were engaged in February 2023 and married in May 2024.

The new baby boy’s name is Elliot Marshall McClintock. In an Instagram post on April 4, Hailie revealed he was born on March 14, 2025.

The picture of the newborn is captioned, “happy due date//3 weeks earthside little e.”

Previously, McClintock posted maternity photos on March 9 that the due date was close.

”So close to meeting baby boy,” she wrote with an accompanying blue heart emoji.

Eminem, born Marshall Bruce Mathers III, announced the news of his daughter being pregnant on his “Temporary” music video. The song is an ode to McClintock née Scott’s childhood as well as their father-daughter relationship. It also features a nostalgic look at her growing up — complete with home video footage mixed into the McClintock wedding video.

The end of the video contains a modern day clip of Eminem’s daughter gifting him a blue football jersey with the name “Grandpa” stitched on the back. She also hands him a sonogram to even more surprise.

McClintock first shared the sex of the baby on an episode of her podcast “Just A Little Shady” in October 2024.

Prior to letting the information be known, she hid her pregnancy at the wedding. McClintock’s podcast cohost, Brittany Ednie, was in on the idea and helped cover up the secret.

“She was, you know, grabbing a drink, not consuming the drink as a responsible parent does,” Ednie tells listeners in a previous October 2024 episode. “Whenever people were turned around, she would hand me her drink, and I would chug so it looked as if she was continuously drinking throughout that night.”

McClintock’s Instagram comments were filled with praise and well wishes for the family of three.

Author Kailyn Lowry deemed the day “The best day of the entire year! Congratulations!”

Singer Jessie Reyez dropped two love emoji.

Another user commented, “He looks JUST like his granddaddy,” complete with two heart eye emoji and three white hearts.

Another commenter noted that “His initials are ‘Em’ stop!!!!” with several heart emoji.
