Warning: this post contains major spoilers for Emily in Paris season five.

Emily has been in Paris, Rome, Venice, and now she’s officially in Greece filming the final season of the hit Netflix show. But fret not, because it won’t be the last stop before the beloved Netflix series ends. Yes, mes chérisEmily in Paris season six will mark the end of the hit Netflix show, and it will be with us sooner than we expect.

Your favorite stylish expat, Emily Cooper, played by Lily Collins, is officially returning to Netflix for the final chapter of her adventure and taking on brand-new destinations in Europe.

Emily in Paris is surprisingly one of the most divisive comedies of the past few years, so its end is surely a cause of celebration and sorrow for many. The series follows the titular Emily, a marketing executive from Chicago, as she unexpectedly becomes a Paris transplant when she’s hired to offer an American perspective for the fictional French firm Savoir.

The show has been celebrated for its warmth, charm, and fashion moments, and criticized for its rose-colored, sometimes stereotypical portrayal of France and Parisians (and, well, Europe as a whole). Despite its mixed reviews, Emily in Paris season five has consistently ranked among the top spots on Netflix’s global English TV list, racking up 250 million views, and that number will surely keep growing ahead of the grand finale.

Whether you hate to love Emily or love to hate her, there’s no denying that the upcoming sixth season of the show will be its juiciest yet. Luckily for you, we’ve collected everything we know so far about Emily in Paris season six below, including filming updates, plot details, and so much more. Ready? Oui! Or should we say ναι? Has Emily in Paris season 6 begun filming yet?

It has indeed, though production seems to have started just slightly later than the previous season. On May 21, 2026, Netflix announced that production for Emily in Paris season six was officially underway in Greece.

The streamer dropped the news alongside the very first peek at the upcoming season, with three BTS photos of executive Producer and creator Darren Star with Lily Collins on the sunny set. What is Emily in Paris season 6 going to be about?

Netflix has confirmed that season six of Emily in Paris will pick up pretty much from where season five left off. Last season, we saw Emily take a romantic Roman holiday with Italian cashmere heir Marcello (Eugenio Franceschini) before realizing everything she wants is back in Paris. The season also ended with Mindy (Ashley Park) getting engaged to Nicolas de Léon (Paul Forman) but feeling flames (again) for Alfie (Lucien Laviscount), who tells her the engagement is a mistake.

By the end of season five, Emily and Marcello are broken up, and her ex Gabriel (Lucas Bravo) finds out, so, of course, he invites her to tag along for his vacation in Greece and join him on his boss’s yacht. Judging by the first pics of production, it very much seems like she will take him up on the offer. (Or maybe fate has found another way to get these two together in Greece, we will see!)

Who is in the cast of Emily in Paris season 6?

No casting announcements have yet been made, but it’s safe to assume most of the season five cast would be returning for season six, including Lily Collins, Ashley Park, Lucas Bravo, and Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu.

Recurring cast members during season five who we will likely also see include Lucien Laviscount (Alfie), Thalia Besson (Genevieve), Samuel Arnold (Julien), Bruno Gouery (Luc), and William Abadie (Antoine Lambert). Paul Forman and Arnaud Binard also returned for season five as Laurent G and Nico. Seeing as Marcello and Emily are broken up, we might or might not be seeing Eugenio Franceschini again.

Ahead of season five, Camille Razat (Camille). shared a heartfelt post to Instagram announcing her departure from the show. “After an incredible journey, I’ve made the decision to step away from Emily in Paris,” Razat captioned a carousel of photos with her castmates, including Collins, Park, and Bravo. “It has been a truly wonderful experience, one filled with growth, creativity, and unforgettable memories.”

Razat thanked Netflix and the crew behind the show for their “trust,” and hinted that while she may not be a part of season five’s story, there may be potential for her character to return, thanks to the creative team “leaving the door open for her return.” So, never say never for season six…

New cast members for season five included Michèle Laroque and Bryan Greenberg. Academy Award-nominated actor Minnie Driver (Good Will Hunting, Will & Grace) also joined the cast as Princess Jane.
