While many viewers will forever be beyond grateful to Netflix for providing as many great TV shows, reality shows, and movies as the platform has over the years, there are some cancellations that audiences find hard to forgive.

Unfortunately, The Umbrella Academy, which has consistently shown great quality but is now heading towards its end with season 4, is one of the shows that has fallen victim to this. The final season will premiere on Thursday, August 8, and if you need a reminder of some of the show’s key characters, you still have time to refresh your memories.

What Are Lila’s Powers in The Umbrella Academy?

In the universe where supernatural abilities are not as rare as people used to think, there is an inevitable hierarchy of characters based on their ascribed talents. Even if the writers won’t admit it, the audience agrees that some powers are far more impressive and dangerous than others.

And while we all root for the show’s ‘good guys’, the Hargreeves, to be the last ones standing, there are some characters who could put them in real danger. Lila Pitts, the Handler’s adopted daughter, portrayed by Ritu Arya, may be one of the strongest characters in the entire Umbrella Academy universe.

Unlike Victor, who must have one of the most destructive powers of anyone on the show, being able to manipulate sound waves and convert them into energy and physical force, Lila’s ability to mirror whatever power she needs at the moment is in no way related to her emotions.

Victor is strong, but his abilities require constant control, which could easily be lost in the face of a traumatic or otherwise emotional event. Lila, on the other hand, doesn’t have to deal with such subtleties, which makes the same power of sound waves much more dangerous in her hands.

But no matter how strong Lila is and how tough she can act, she’s not immune to matters of the heart, and season 3 highlighted her most obvious weakness: Diego. While Lila is now accepted into the family and wants a happy future with the man she loves, it may not be as easy as it sounds.

Fans can expect season 4 of The Umbrella Academy to begin with Lila and Diego building their relationship piece by piece, only to have it put to the test once again.
