He called Paul out on social media

The sum Eric Butterbean Esch offers to fight Jake Paul
Former boxing star Eric Esch, known as Butterbean, has put forth an offer of £1.5 million to fight Jake Paul, amid uncertainty surrounding Paul’s scheduled bout with Mike Tyson.

The Paul vs. Tyson fight, originally set for July 20, has been delayed due to Tyson experiencing an ulcer flare-up, pushing the potential matchup to November 15.

However, Tyson‘s participation is contingent on passing several medical examinations, leaving the fight in doubt.

In search of new opponent

Paul, who recently scored a knockout victory against former UFC fighter Mike Perry, is currently looking for his next opponent. Butterbean, eager to step into the ring, has proposed a significant sum to secure a fight with Paul.

Over the years, Butterbean has slimmed down and improved his fitness. Throughout his career, the 57-year-old has had an impressive record, winning 77 of his 91 professional boxing matches, 58 of which were by knockout.

Additionally, Butterbean has competed in kickboxing and MMA, winning three of his seven kickboxing bouts and 17 of his 28 MMA fights.

“Hey Jake Paul, would you fight me for $2m [£1.5million]?” Butterbean said on TikTok.

“Winner takes all.”

The possibility of a fight between Paul and Tyson has sparked debate, particularly because it will be sanctioned as a professional match rather than an exhibition.

This decision has drawn criticism from some in the boxing community, including former champion Tony Bellew, who expressed disappointment at the idea of Tyson having such a bout on his official record.

As the boxing world waits for further updates on Tyson’s health and the status of the Paul fight, Butterbean‘s offer introduces an alternative scenario.
