One of the most stable romances in Emily in Paris has to be between Nicolas and Mindy, played by Paul Forman and Ashley Park. But, if you thought these two seemed to have ample amounts of on-screen chemistry it’s partly because they’re actually dating in real life, which is extremely wholesome.

But it turns out that whilst Lily Collins quickly questioned Ashley Park about the tension between her and Paul Forman during filming for Emily in Paris, Ashley lied about the two of them dating. I just know that everybody knows everyone’s business on that set.

Ashley revealed in an interview with Cosmopolitan that she tried very hard not to fall for Paul whilst they were filming. She was later invited to volunteer with Ukrainian refugees in Poland and asked Paul if he wanted to join her for the trip

She revealed: “I would never fall for someone who looks that impeccable. So we were just friends. Very platonically, we would hang out. Fast-forward, we’re filming one of our last scenes together, and he said, ‘I am getting really attached to you.’” Lily Collins soon noticed the chemistry going on between the pair and questioned whether something was going on between Ashley and Paul.

Ashley admitted: “I told her, ‘Lily, your disbelief in my growth is sad, because he’s the exact type of guy that I said I wasn’t going to go for,’” said Park. “‘I told you, and so I really want you, as my friend, to believe me.’”

She then realised Lily was right and she had to admit they were in love. She explained: “I was like, ‘oh my god, I’ve lied to my best friend.’ I really do like this guy. What do I do? So I had to do a little loss-of-dignity tour. I had to be like, ‘Lily, everyone, we are so in love.’ That was about two years ago.”
