A new survival thriller is quietly taking over Netflix — and viewers can’t seem to look away.

At first, it feels like a simple escape story: a skilled rock climber heads deep into the wilderness. Then everything changes… she becomes the one being hunted.

What follows is a relentless pursuit through dense जंगल, steep cliffs, and unforgiving rivers. The man tracking her doesn’t rush — he watches, waits, and controls the distance. With every step, she’s pulled deeper into terrain that feels built to break her.

What makes it even more intense? The landscapes are completely real. Filmed across Blue Mountains and other remote parts of Australia, the cliffs, drops, and isolation aren’t effects — they’re real locations that amplify every moment.

You can feel it in every scene — the weight of the air, the tension in the silence. The wilderness doesn’t just frame the story… it becomes part of the danger.

By the end, it’s not just the chase that stays with you — it’s the chilling sense that nowhere is truly safe when the world itself turns against you.

“You going it alone?” a local asks Sasha in the trailer. “I wouldn’t recommend it.” To survive, she’ll need all her wits about her. “This is a psychological thriller,” Theron told Netflix. “It’s really a story about survival, not just physically but emotionally. And it’s about finding out what you’re made of.”

“It felt almost existential,” Kormákur told Netflix of Jeremy Robbins’s script. “Through action, through horror, through hardship, you reveal the characters.”

Ben’s side of the story is a little bit different. “In my version of the story, Ben is the hero,” Egerton told Netflix. “Everything has to make sense for him. So part of my job is to craft a spiritual code for him.” Ben doesn’t see himself as a killer; he’s just a hunter looking for his next target.

As Ben initiates a deadly game of cat and mouse, he offers Sasha a head start to get as far away from him as possible before his pump-up music comes to an end. In other words: Hunt or be hunted.
