Why was Emily In Paris season 4 delayed?
Devoted fans have been eagerly awaiting Emily’s return to their screens, but the path to season four hasn’t been without its obstacles. Production on the new episodes was originally slated to begin in late summer or early fall of 2023.
However, the Hollywood writers’ strike led to an unexpected delay. Undeterred, the cast and crew rallied together and officially started filming on January 19, 2024 in Paris. While the delay may have felt interminable for viewers, it speaks to the dedication of Emily In Paris fans that they think it will be well worth the wait.

What happened in Emily in Paris season 3?
*Spoiler alert for Emily in Paris season 3
Season three ended with a string of bombshells. The finale found Emily at the centre of another romantic predicament at Gabriel and Camille’s wedding. Just as the couple was about to say “I do,” Camille had a change of heart. She proclaimed that Gabriel has been in love with Emily since the moment they met, and she couldn’t go through with the marriage.
This revelation prompted Emily’s beau Alfie to break things off, encouraging her to pursue Gabriel instead. But in a final twist, Gabriel confessed to Emily that the reason he and Camille were rushing to the altar was because Camille is pregnant with his baby. With cliffhangers swirling around paternity questions, unresolved feelings, and fractured friendships, season four is poised to be a powder keg of unfinished business.

What is the plot of Emily in Paris season 4?
While exact story details remain under wraps, we do have some clues about the entanglements and career challenges that await Emily. Per Netflix, season four will find our heroine “reeling” after Gabriel and Camille’s ill-fated nuptials. Torn between two men, Emily’s dilemma is further complicated by the fact that Gabriel is expecting a baby with his ex, and Alfie’s worst fears about them have been confirmed.
Lily Collins herself teased that Emily will be doing some travelling, so don’t be surprised to see her embark on a Roman holiday. Back in Paris, Sylvie faces a “thorny dilemma” from her past that threatens her marriage, while Mindy and her band strive to get to Eurovision on a shoestring budget. Most intriguingly, Emily and Gabriel’s “undeniable” chemistry will be on display as they pursue a Michelin star for his restaurant, but “two big secrets” could derail everything.

Who is cast in Emily In Paris season 4?
Lily Collins of course returns as the effervescent Emily, along with major players Lucas Bravo (Gabriel), Camille Razat (Camille), Ashley Park (Mindy), Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu (Sylvie), Samuel Arnold (Julien), and Bruno Gouery (Luc).
Despite his character Alfie’s crushing exit in the season three finale, Lucien Laviscount is also expected to return in some capacity. Series creator Darren Star hinted that while Alfie may no longer be a romantic prospect for Emily, his professional ties to Gabriel will likely keep him in the mix.
Other supporting characters, like William Abadie’s Antoine, are also slated to appear.
