Netflix is now streaming a critically acclaimed film starring Oscar nominee Elle Fanning and a stellar ensemble cast from 2016.
10 years after its initial release, director Mike Millsā 20th Century Women is still considered one of the best cinematic releases of the 2010s and an underrated gem.
Itās now streaming on Netflix as of Friday, 3rd April and is ripe for discovery if youāve not dived into this immersive, visually stunning and impeccably performed snapshot of the 1970s.
Lucas Jade Zumann stars as 15-year old Jamie Fields, who lives with his single mother Dorothea (played by Annette Bening) and her two tenants; Abbie Porter (Greta Gerwig), a young photographer undergoing treatment for cervical cancer, and handyman William (Billy Crudup).
Fanning stars as Jamieās best friend Julie, who is reluctant to give in to their feelings for each other as it could ruin their friendship. Inspired by director Millsā experiences growing up raised by his mother and sisters, the film is an inspiring ālove letterā to the women who raised him.
