Off Campus Season 2 Leads, Cast, Filming, and Everything Else You Need to Know About Prime Video’s New NA Series
We’ll be staying at Briar University for the foreseeable future.
This post contains some spoilers for season one of Prime Video’s Off Campus and minor spoilers for Elle Kennedy’s book series.
Off Campus, the new Prime Video NA show keeping the hockey romance obsession alive, is here after much anticipation, and the wait has been more than worth it.
Prime Video describes Off Campus as a “college soap.” Per the official logline, the show “follows an elite ice hockey team, and the women in their lives, as they grapple with love, heartbreak, and self-discovery—forging deep friendships and enduring bonds while navigating the complexities that come with transitioning into adulthood.”
Of course, the team took liberties with the stories, so don’t expect the show to be a perfect replica of the books. “We scoured the books, and we did a lot of work to try to fold in as many of those Easter eggs as possible,” Louisa Levy told Teen Vogue. “Some of them are real moments, but maybe they don’t take place in the order of the books. So I would say look out for the similarities that might not come the way you expect.”

In case you have been living under a rock, season one of Off Campus, based on the bestselling book series of the same name by Canadian author Elle Kennedy, premiered globally on May 13. Over eight gripping episodes, we were introduced to the stars of the Briar U Hawks hockey team, and more than one curveball was thrown to keep book readers enjoying it as much as those who are only now being introduced to the stories. The main story followed the “opposites attract” romance between songwriter Hannah Wells (Ella Bright) and Briar University’s all-star hockey athlete Garrett Graham (Belmont Cameli), the captain of the school’s team, known as the Hawks. The season adapted Elle Kennedy’s 2015 novel The Deal. And we already know what will follow suit in season two.
Off Campus was adapted for TV by Louisa Levy, and long before its premiere and even before we got a teaser, the show already had a dedicated fandom to propel it into the popularity ranks. Now that the first season is out, we fear that number will only keep going up, and, of course, the countdown for season two is already on.
If you want to know more about the story of season two, below, we’ve gathered everything you need to know about Prime Video’s Off Campus.
Is Off Campus renewed for season 2?
It is indeed! Prime Video announced that Off Campus had been renewed for a second season in February 2026, before season one even premiered. The streamer announced the news in a video of the crew breaking it to the cast, which you can see below.
“Off Campus captures the kind of emotionally charged, character-driven storytelling that truly resonates with our global Prime Video audience,” Peter Friedlander, head of global television at Amazon MGM Studios, said in a statement. “With its passionate fan base, rich source material, and an incredible creative team bringing Briar U to life, we knew that this series had the depth and momentum to continue beyond its first season. Set against the high-intensity world of college hockey, the series explores deeply personal journeys and is brought to life by a tremendously talented cast whose chemistry and authenticity make every moment feel real. We have great confidence in the way Louisa has mastered this adaptation, and we’re excited to give fans even more of the romance, friendship, and heart that define the series.”

As Teen Vogue previously noted, like the books, each season of Off Campus will likely focus on a different love story within an interconnected group of university students, so think of it as a new type of Bridgerton. (In case you are wondering, there are five books in Elle Kennedy’s original book series.)
Prime Video has confirmed that season two of Off Campus will focus on Dean and Allie, and to celebrate the announcement, the streamer released a video and a new photo shoot, which you can see below, featuring the season one and season two leads. “One couple made a deal. The next one is keeping the score. ❤️🔥🏒 From Garrett & Hannah to Dean & Allie—the Off Campus love story continues in season 2,” Prime Video captioned their social post.

“We are so excited to continue Allie and Dean’s story as our primary romance of season two after kickstarting their romance in season one,” Louisa Levy said in a statement. “But if you fell in love with Hannah and Garrett, don’t worry—they will still be an integral part of our robust ensemble. We’re looking forward to telling the next chapter of everyone’s story. There’s a lot for fans to look forward to!”
Focusing on Dean and Allie’s story, the show is officially changing up the book order. While Dean and Allie’s story is not fully explored until book three of the Off Campus series, titled The Score, season one set the stage for their relationship, and they are taking the reins in season two, to fans’ delight.
Speaking to Screen Rant, Louisa Levy seemingly previously confirmed that Dean and Allie would be next. “I always wanted to introduce the next season’s love interests in the middle of the season in some way because it is important to me to be invested in the next season’s love interests so you don’t lose interest in the storylines,” she revealed. “The benefit of Dean and Allie’s love story is that they start as a secret, so we got to play around with timelines when we introduce it to the audience.”

Throughout the first season, and especially after episode five, we are privy to the beginning of Dean and Allie’s “no-strings-attached” relationship, which explodes in a massive twist during the finale after Dean finds out that Allie has had sex with Hunter, who has a murky history with Dean that we still don’t fully know about and who has, unbeknownst to Dean or Garrett, joined the Hawks for next season. (Also, no, Hunter and Allie don’t hook up in the books, so we are fully in uncharted waters here!)

Speaking about the introduction of Hunter and the changes from the book, Levy told SR: “The biggest thing about that is what does it do for Dean and how does it complicate things for him? A big reason [why] we needed to drop in a turning point is because we get Dean and Allie pretty close to being together at the end of season one, and we need to give ourselves a little bit of room to grow. It’s teeing up a mystery for what Dean has going on in his backstory.”
Speaking to Variety, Levy already said that including Dean and Allie’s relationship from season one was always her idea, even when the show was just a pitch. “I find it very difficult to invest in a couple and grow them entirely from scratch. I wanted viewers to know who they were going to be tuning in for next. Allie felt so organic, because she’s Hannah’s best friend and Dean is already there, and their love story in the book is a secret—so why not let it be a surprise, even to book fans, when we’re going to launch it? Some things had to work a little differently because of the timing and the way we platform them, but I promise all the fan-favorite things are still intended and planned. There’s still a lot of road with those two.”
According to the book order, the next story would have been The Mistake, which focuses on John Logan. During season one, we see Logan grappling with his forbidden crush on Hannah, and we do know that Grace has been cast for season two, so it’s safe to assume we will at least see their relationship start to blossom in season two, even if they won’t be the main focus.
And seeing as Levy likes to introduce the next love leads in the middle of a season, we are likely again getting a bit of a mix for season two, centering on Dean and Allie, but also setting the base for Logan and Grace—and even more. “I am genuinely so excited to dive into Allie and Dean’s season, obviously,” Levy teased, “but also, we get to build out some more of even Tucker and Logan, and we get to learn more about their lives. Because there’s only so much we could get through season one, [so] season two will give us more time.” And, of course, again, Garrett and Hannah are not going anywhere.

If you want a handy guide on whose stories the books tell, book four, The Goal, focuses on John Tucker and Sabrina James, while book five, The Legacy, visits all the couples in the future. Off Campus also has two book spin-off series: Briar U, which still centers on some of the characters from the original series, and Campus Diaries, which Levy also seems to be pulling from to create her on-screen universe.
Knowing the timeline has given the show’s producers an advantage point for planning ahead, which we will likely see play out in future seasons. “We aged down Tucker, for instance. He’s the oldest in the books, and he’s the youngest in our series,” Louisa Levy told Teen Vogue. “That’s just because his [story] is the fourth book, and we want to make sure he’s still in college by the time we get there. We don’t want to be forced to overlap timelines in the same way if that doesn’t make sense for us. We want to keep driving the story forward, and we don’t want to be limited in that regard.”

The principal cast of Off Campus season one includes , , , , Josh Heuston (Dune: Prophecy, Heartbreak High) as Justin Kohl, and . The show also added Josh Chambers as Birdie, Khobe Clarke as Beau Maxwell, Charlie Evans as Hunter Davenport, and Julia Sarah Stone as John Logan’s sibling Jules, a new character who’s not in the book.
New faces are also joining the cast for season two. On April 30, India Fowler was announced as a series regular portraying Grace Ivers for season two. Grace is the protagonist of Elle Kennedy’s second book in the Off Campus series, The Mistake. You may have noticed the character already made a small cameo during season two at the fundraiser event that the Hawks put on at Malone’s. And, well, spoiler alert, you are going to want to keep an eye out for her as Ivers is John Logan’s love interest in the Off Campus book series.
“India fell out of the book. She’s so special,” Levy told TV Guide. I’m so in love with our entire cast, and they set the bar so high that we knew we needed to match that or surpass it with Grace. We really searched for a long time. India did such an incredible chemistry read with Antonio. It just felt like sparks were flying, but also we got to play around with them a little bit in terms of where we might go with their characters in future seasons, so we could really see what kind of arc she might bring to this character. Grace has a big journey to go on from the person that we meet at the beginning of her book to the person she becomes by the end. So we got to play with that a little bit in advance, and I’m hoping that we have the ability to go all the way.”

Phillipa Soo, whom you might recognize from Hamilton, has also joined season two in a recurring role as Scarlett. Per Deadline, Scarlett is “a theatre artist who is guest directing an original play at the college’s drama department.” And do we know who’s in the drama department at Briar U? That’s right, Allie!
For now, that’s all the cast that has been confirmed, but we can expect to see other familiar faces as well, especially Khobe Clarke as Beau Maxwell, Charlie Evans as Hunter Davenport, and Julia Sarah Stone as John Logan’s sibling Jules, a new character who’s not in the book.
One actor we know won’t be returning for season two is Josh Heuston (Dune: Prophecy, Heartbreak High) as Justin Kohl, Louisa Levy confirmed to TV Guide. “I love Josh, and I would not write him off if I can find a way to bring Justin back at some point. We never got a chance to meet Stella, who is the person he ends up with in the book. So maybe we’ll find a way to fold him into a future season. We don’t have him [available] next season, but never say never,” she said.

When is Off Campus season 2 coming out?
Liane Hentscher
Now this is the million-dollar question, and to answer it quickly: Prime Video still has not announced a tentative release date for season two, but we have a feeling it will be sooner rather than later. In the announcement videos we have gotten so far for season two, it seems the cast is going right back to filming in Vancouver pretty much immediately after the season one press tour, which is right about now. Fowler was spotted en route to Canada on May 17.
For reference, season one reportedly filmed from June to October 2025 for a May 2026 release. If season two follows a similar pattern, we could most likely be getting it around the same time, or perhaps even a bit earlier, in 2027.

Is there a trailer for Off Campus season 2?
While we don’t have a trailer for season two, Prime Video released the official trailer for Off Campus season one in April. In the trailer, which you can see below, we see Hannah and Garrett inking their deal and then tension building from their fake dating as secrets come to light. As for any peek at season two, it looks like we are going to have to wait a little more.
