Blake Lively had every reason to celebrate as she returned to the Met Gala on the same day she and her It Ends With Us costar Justin Baldoni settled their lawsuit.

The Gossip Girl alum, 38, arrived all smiles and dressed to impress in vintage Versace gown while rocking her hair in waves.

Lively’s surprise appearance came on the heels of the mom of four — who shares daughters Betty, Inez, and James, and son Olin with husband Ryan Reynolds — closing the chapter on a lengthy legal battle with Baldoni, 42. According to TMZ, both sides agreed to settle the case, which involved allegations of defamation, on Monday, May 4, before releasing a joint statement.

“The end product – the movie It Ends With Us — is a source of pride to all of us who worked to bring it to life. Raising awareness, and making a meaningful impact in the lives of domestic violence survivors – and all survivors – is a goal that we stand behind,” the statement read, via TMZ.

“We acknowledge the process presented challenges and recognize concerns raised by Ms. Lively deserved to be heard,” the statement continued. “We remain firmly committed to workplaces free of improprieties and unproductive environments.”

“It is our sincere hope that this brings closure and allows all involved to move forward constructively and in peace, including a respectful environment online,” the statement concluded.

Lively is no stranger to Fashion’s Biggest Night: She nearly stole the show in 2022 when she wore a gorgeous Versace gown inspired by the Statue of Liberty. The dress dramatically transformed on the carpet, going from bronze to patina-green train — a nod to the statue’s iconic aging process.
