A Family Affair starring Zac Efron and Nicole Kidman has recently been released on Netflix, but if you haven’t watched Zac in anything recently you might have noticed that his face looks quite different than how it used to.

It looks like his whole facial structure and jaws have grown massively, and many fans suspect he might have overloaded on the Botox a tad. But, it turns out that’s not the real reason his face has changed so much and the reality is absolutely heartbreaking. So, let’s find out why his face looks so dramatically different.

It turns out the actual reason is absolutely nothing to do with Botox, and all to do with a nasty accident he was involved. He explained to Vanity Fair that in 2013 he was “running through his house in socks and slipped” and as a result shattered his jaw on a granite fountain. Ouch. He explained that as a result of the incident his jaw muscles wouldn’t stop growing because of the trauma, saying: “The masseters just grew. They just got really, really big.”

And no, the rumours that Zac Efron has got Botox in his face haven’t gone unnoticed by the actor as he joked that his mum told him about the plastic surgery rumours, explaining: “My mom told me. I don’t really read the internet, so, I don’t really give a f**k. It was funny. It sucks. I almost died, but we’re good.” So now we can finally put the Botox rumours to bed please!
